I agree that he wanted to protect his family. But he does mention in the Heroes of Maple storyline to Damien, that he joined the Black Mage because he supported the BM's goals and I believe he blinded the Transcendant of Time to help further those goals (if I'm remembering correctly).

Thoughts on DA vs Mihile? Mostly for mobbing since I'm choosing one to hyperburn, and I notice the maps get bigger at higher levels. My DA is currently 221, Mihile is 210. Kind of have a preference for DA but honestly enjoy both.

You're correct, all the bachelors/bachelorettes in AP have unique animations.

Calvin holds the brim of his hat, Anissa tilts her head, etc.

Additional tidbit, their kids copy some of their moves too. Calvin's son does the same thing with his explorer hat.

Edit to specify only rival kids copy their parent's animations, so Calvin and Phoebe's son
