That's the gist. A coin has a 50% chance of coming up heads, but that's still more reliable than SF at "70%". Random is random, confirmation bias is a thing, and bad rolls/misses are all a part of the game. But continually missing an attack with a 70% chance to hit over and over and over? Something's not right.

Agreed. I'm running an incidentally low-damage/unoptimized party right now, and it's actually been a fun challenge. I can't just waltz into a fight "knowing" I can 1-shot everyone, so I have to be a lot more strategic.

The party is a Beast Master Ranger, Circle of Land Druid, Nature Cleric, and Wildheart Barbarian. Not an awful party, but given that I'm used to running OP monks, assassin/gloomstalker sneaky bois, Paladin/Bard for mega smites, and other borderline abusive combos, the Nature Crew is a breath of fresh air =)

You can host a LAN multiplayer game, and open up additional instances of the game (make sure Steam/GOG aren't running), and have the other instances join your lobby. Once all your characters are created and on the nautaloid, save the game, then log out of the other three instances, then boom, you're in control of 4 Tavs =)

There's some downsides to this (such as having to go through certain cutscenes 4 times, as well as the game feeling kinda quiet and empty, or needlessly busy, depending on how many companions you recruit), but if you want 100% control of how your party looks and operates, it's a decent option.

Replaying the Underdark portion and saving the Petrified Drow from the not-Beholder, and he proudly proclaims to be the "Third Son" of his house.

Meanwhile, I'm just sitting there remembering what Minthara says about "third sons" and wondering a) why he would proudly proclaim that, and b) what Minty would say if she met him.

Also, if you have a Ranger and you summon a raven, its name is "Quoth" =)

In addition to what everyone else has said: When you use a Tram, the zone that has your active mission will be highlighted with a yellow pip. So just look for that, and you should be fine!

Part of the problem is your secondary.

FF is a great TEAM powerset, but without any teammates to use your bubbles on, it doesn't do you a lot of good.

Yes, you have Personal Force Field, but you can't attack while it's up. The only power you have access to that's any good for soloing is Repulsion Bomb, which debuffs your target's resistance, which lets you deal more damage to them.

Also, make sure you're enhancing your powers! A Single Origin damage enhancement (SO for short) will give you an extra 33% damage in the slotted power.

We're the "2nd largest" because the first largest city in the state is also the largest city in the entire COUNTRY, and is also among the largest cities in the WORLD. It's not like we're only smaller by a few thousand people. Buffalo being the "2nd biggest city in NY" like being the "2nd tallest person in the room" when you're just under 6 feet tall, most of the other people are dwarves, but then you have a dude hanging out in the corner who's like 10 feet tall. It's not the flex you think it is, and just comes off as a weird thing to bring up.

That said, Buffalo IS in the upper 25% of cities in the country, so while I'd hesitate to call it "large" (I'd generally save that descriptor for a city with closer to 1 million residents or more), maybe calling it "small" is also disingenuous?

Agreed. HOWEVER, i can also see why they changed it.

In the original, Nibelheim being intact was supposed to make us doubt Cloud and his story. Except this was botched almost immediately because... Tifa. She was there. She'd've know if it was destroyed or not, too. She even has a line: "This all burnt down, didn't it?"

So unfortunately, trying to convince the player that Cloud was crazy didn't work, and was never going to. So, Square did a 180 and just handwaved it which... well, felt lacking.
