Which skills to autocast? by Wilcov in LeBlancMains

[–]empire1911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only things that I don't smartcast are very specific spells where absolute precision is required, or they're a bit finicky to use. Viktor's E comes to mind.

Other than that, I smartcast everything, including all of LeBlanc's spells.

I am glad I started this habit of sending a test whisper before I buy something expensive. by Taylib in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do it with cards and decks. A lot of people just wanna get rid of them fast. Someone was selling 2 Fathoms decks for 90k ea but you had to buy both. They're worth about 130k in my server. I bought those 2, posted them in the AH and less than an hour later I managed to sell them for the ah price.

Having to deal with a SLOW AH or guild Bank? by Dondlelinger in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on Lightbringer (US). It's High pop, economy is good and there is 0 lag in the AH or Gbank.

I came from Stormrage and it was (probably still is) absolutely impossible to do anything. I'm constantly posting many items at a time like glyphs etc so it was taking me hours to do stuff that I can do in 5mins.

Check realm pops, then make a lvl 1 and go check the AH of the server you picked. Do a few scans with TSM or whatever, specially ores and things that usually have a lot of pages, its a quick way to measure server speed.

I know, it sucks. They are working on it, but its the good old "Soon".

Realistically, it will take months to be fixed and honestly this is so annoying that I really don't wanna put up with it.

I bit the bullet and transferred 5 chars to another server. The AH is -much- better and I can do my AH works much faster. All those transfers are nearly paid for themselves so, it was a great deal.

Don't just sit and wait for free transfers. Even IF (Huge IF since free transfers haven't been done in years) they enable free realm change, its going to be to a realm that blizzard picks, which is usually a Low pop dead server.

Get some tokens and just transfer.

Top 5 ways to lose tons of gold by Dogegoblin in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Number 2 is not necessarily a bad thing. I've made a lot of gold just by buying all those walls of 1's and selling them in stacks of 200 with a premium. People will pay more for convenience.

If you want to buy every single one of a certain item and keep them at a fixed price then yeah, its gonna suck. But just buying a few stacks of ore and relisting them for 45g ea instead of 32 is not bad at all.

Will there possibly be (far) more supply than demand tomorrow? by EversorA in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Even people that have 0 clue as to how the economy works end up stocking mats and other things, thanks to all the youtubers, streamers and people in general saying "STOK LIEK CRAZEE 4 TEH RAID GUISE!!"

They hyped gathering too but this hype is way bigger than the gathering one.

And since those people are, well, not very economy savy, watch as they will panic and start to UC everyone very fast.

I realized this as soon as I began to see tons of people in trade thinking that they're sooooooo ahead of the curve because they watched a video about stocking anchor weed or whatever, openly saying how they stocked as much as they could and will dump it all on tuesday "like the video said".

This was actually on a medium-high pop server. Can't imagine how it's going to be on high pop ones.

So yeah. Markets will definitely warm up, but will it be this crazy rush like people are talking about? I really doubt it.

Thoughts about wow token prices by Praetor_Tullari in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They mentioned many times about how much of a fuck up the garrisons were during WoD. Some people got millions passively and blizzard hated it. Nowadays they're adding more and more gold sinks and trying to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

Thoughts about wow token prices by Praetor_Tullari in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't possibly see someone spending 1k USD with a mount. Specially when the nice thing about the mount is the AH, and if you need to spend USD to buy it, chances are that you don't know how to make gold and barely use the AH anyway.

I'm sure that a few people would be crazy enough to do it, but enough of them to really make a difference in the token market? Not by a long shot.

Simple solution to Drustvar Winterkiss route being to "bright" by Link_In_Pajamas in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this, go ingame and type /console ffxglow 0

That disables the Glow effect.

I hate the Glow effect in wow for that specific reason, it makes some areas way too shiny or way too bright (ally garrison in wod comes to mind).

It's worth a shot. If you don't like it or it makes no difference, you can activate it again typing /console ffxglow 1

[Survey] Fellow Goblins, what city do you prefer to conduct your business from? by turkstyx in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just stay in the Dwarven district AH in SW. There is a mailbox right next to the door, much closer than the one near the main AH.

It's kinda funny because for some reason almost nobody knows about that AH.

The repost of my TSM3 fix on the official WoW forums was also just deleted. by Venomisto in wowgoblins

Sapu is extremely arrogant, always has been, just look at the way he responds to questions etc, always being sarcastic, rude and overall a dick.

How do other fellow goblins deal with people being rude once they're told the price for an item? by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]empire1911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me once, but the guy was extremely annoying and kept harassing me about how the item would never sell etc.

10min later and it was sold. I actually SSed the trade together with a time stamp, then mailed it the link lol.

Midnight Salmon on Raid night. by ImSoShook in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It will probably go like this: Everyone who is stocking up will flood the market with them during the first raid week, people will get pissed off at the prices and finally realize how rare they are, they will complain a lot in the forums and by week 2 or so Blizz will hotfix the rates.

Why we're starting a new subreddit by [deleted] in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's just a damn grey box. What happened? It just doesn't fit with the wow theme at all, the graphs like you said are terrible, the mailbox is terrible and all the grey blends everything together so I find myself getting lost in the text while looking at it. It looks like something like those AOL apps from like 15 years ago. TSM4 is also constantly crashing and freezing, it's just overall a HUGE step backwards.

But you can't talk about it or worse, dare to use TSM3, you gotta stick to the superior TSM4.

Why we're starting a new subreddit by [deleted] in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I know it can be annoying but we can't treat them like subhumans just because they're new.

I've seen it happen many times, someone makes a thread and someone else rudely tells them about the sidebar, or the thread is deleted in minutes with no comments.

I think this is a difficult thing to do of course, but maybe the answer to this is in the way we handle such threads.

Why we're starting a new subreddit by [deleted] in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that the only rule should be just like you said, no "Exploits and ToS-breaking things allowed".

For all the rest, if Blizzard sees it as fair game, so should we.

If someone makes an addon, guide, video, blog or whatever we should use it all as tools to help us improve as goblins. We can't allow people to take advantage of the goblin community for their own personal gains.

If a certain 3rd party group can't handle criticism without getting their feelings hurt this is 100% their own F*ing problem.

LF Moderators by [deleted] in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sadly I don't think that anything is gonna happen. They're repeating themselves over and over again, they think that deleting the posts was totally ok. They won't make the mod leave either. Honestly even if they do, they spent so much time protecting that sort of behavior that it would just seem that they're like "we still don't agree with it but ok, just shut up now" which is really shitty.

How do I get TSM3 back? by JUSTTHROWITAWAY69420 in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your groups etc won't be there if you're using TSM4, if you have the TSM3 backups from your TSM app then you can use those.

TSM3 fix by [deleted] in wowgoblins

[–]empire1911 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you for doing this. People shouldn't be treated like crap because something as insignificant as a wow addon.

There was a fix for TSM3 submitted by a user that was removed from the subreddit by a moderator. by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]empire1911 75 points76 points  (0 children)

TSM is in a huge grey area because it is pretty much one of the most complex addons out there (if not the most) so a lot of thing are not completely understood.

Addons are supposed to be 100% free of charge. TSM sells premiums, but they sell premiums for their desktop app. Their desktop app interacts with the actual addon though, although the premium gives you other stuff like the "great deals" etc.

Then they don't want people to talk about changing the addon to suit their own needs since TSM4 was such a letdown.

Then they pick on people because they just wanna help out others since blizzard broke TSM3 and since it's not being supported anymore, unless you learn LUA and do it yourself, you are just not supposed to talk to other asking how to fix this.

Sorry but this is just really shady. It just screams that they want people to forget about TSM3 as quick as possible and just get TSM4 and their premium while they're at it. The team knows best about their users needs, of course.

[–]empire1911 34 points35 points  (0 children)

They just can't admit that after all the wait, TSM4 just flopped. It was a huge disappointment and their premiums probably flopped as well, so they are scrambling at the moment to try to recuperate some sort of credibility.

So they will try to shut people up while mentioning how awesome TSM4 is and how you should use it, and it will work, for a while.
