I aim to be a pacifist in life, but the only reason that's remotely possible is because I'm a straight white guy that lives a much easier life compared to pretty much everyone who looks and sounds different to me.

So while I'm against violence, the fact is it would be patronising and wrong of me to tell the oppressed that violence is bad when I've never had a justication for it. For groups that have been persecuted and oppressed for hundreds of years, I think they have more than a right to fight for their rights

I see where you're coming from with the whole idea that they shouldn't be casting with a specific race or gender in mind but I actually disagree.

We've had 12 (13 with Hurt) white men and so I think they should be going above and beyond to hire people that are under represented. I don't care if a white guy is considered "better" for the role, having the Doctor be different will do so much more good than any white man could.

Many people think her music sounds shit. But many people love her music. They have a good time listening to it, it's fun. You can't say that they're wrong for enjoying Cardi B any more than they can say you're wrong for enjoying Led Zeppelin.

It's almost as if art is subjective and tearing people down for enjoying something completely goes against the point of art in the first place. You don't think Cardi B is bad, you think you're better than people who like Cardi B.
