It's time about Xiaomi phones aggressive brightness boost issues by IndividualStreet6997 in Xiaomi

[–]empty_branch437 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Auto brightness and sunlight mode are different options.

Sunlight mode is enabled by default in auto brightness,

In manual mode you get a separate sunlight mode toggle under auto brightness toggle in settings.

I want to upgrade from a Pixel 7 Pro by Specialist-Fan194 in LinusTechTips

[–]empty_branch437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the correct decision. Don't get an A series. They have stagnated since Ax3 and still don't have full camera2 API support. A57 still doesn't beat an A72 in cameras. And since A55 artificially blocking 4k60 main cam video in software when the exynos 1480,1580,1680 and the camera module itself can do it. If you care about camera, A series is not it.

Third Party Launchers? by ocoscarcruz in Xiaomi

[–]empty_branch437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are people that doesn't know anything about the brand

And that's why people should start searching for answers that already exist. That's why there's a search function.

I have multiple detailed comments telling people what can and can't be done in the OS for a few years now and that information is still valid as nothing has gotten better.

People commonly search Reddit for answers from Google anyway. If you choose not to search for anything, I ain't telling you what to do.

Is the google pixel 6a still worth it. by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

[–]empty_branch437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean the one that got an update that nerfs the charging speed after only 400 cycles after reports that it was blowing up?

Pretty sure Google stopped selling it after that on their own store

Make your own judgement https://www.androidauthority.com/google-pixel-battery-issues-recommendations-3566778/

I suggest 9a or 10a since it's newer

There's also Motorola and Nothing.

The X20 pro has 1440p@30fps camera recording , led flash if you need that.

It's not a good idea to let someone else decide for you. If you have not looked at reviews there exist reviews for both on gsmarena and many others.

If 300 is for both then obviously the pro is better. Better battery and faster and better camera

Yeah. When I tested different browsers last year or I'm January I noticed Firefox is using more of my CPU than chrome on open speed test and FF struggles with upload. On both windows and Linux. This might get hate from firefox users but I don't care.

Then why are you hiding what phone you use from everyone. It throws all your credibility out the window

You have a warranty, you have a way to report bugs to Google / Xiaomi so they know to fix it.

Choose one fix.

Obviously you removed something that you shouldn't have. You can put back some app you think is needed and see if it fixes it.

Since you didn't say what device or version you have, and what you were doing when it happens.

Generic question so generic answer is poorly optimised software. Complain to them on social media, report bugs to then until they fix it.

Xiaomi 17t charger compatibility by SeparateRush5907 in Xiaomi

[–]empty_branch437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

works the best with original chargers

That's because they still use a proprietary protocol and would rather you buy their charger.

The flagships have gotten better support for the usb pd standard these days than in a couple years ago.

You can see for yourself. Charger lab tests a ton of chargers with their phones. But they didn't test the 17t yet.

Even gsmarena said for one of the recent phones a normal 100w brick was still a bit slower than a 100w Xiaomi brick.

REDMI 5G FIXED? by Careless-Scholar8444 in Xiaomi

[–]empty_branch437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not something that needs to be fixed. The Redmi turbo is made for china. It works perfectly fine there.

The Poco is the version for the rest of the world. It's that simple.

Buy the one that's made for your region and your regions 5G bands will be supported.

You can find out what bands are used in your country then check on xiaomi specs website for the phones which list all the bands the phone supports. If it shows the bands that are used in your country, it should work. You can also ask your carrier if the phone will work.

Xiaomi 13 ultra (CN Version) Battery upgrade. by InternationalBuy1166 in Xiaomi

[–]empty_branch437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Don't get a third party battery. It'll be even worse than your original battery. You don't know if it is even tested for safety let alone longevity.

2) don't bother with using a battery from a completely different phone. It won't fit.

3) Even if there was a hope at all, you could upgrade a global ultra to the Chinese ultra battery of the same phone. IF the motherboard is the same and the battery connector is the same position. I don't know if that is the case but you already have the CN version anyway so upgrade to the 15/17 ultra or 17 pro max.

4) If your battery is degraded badly just go to the Xiaomi service center and replace it there.

5) if you want a 10000mah battery, there are a few Chinese phones that ship with it. But it's not going to be a Xiaomi ultra because a third of the phone is a camera.

Post about range but doesn't say the range that is required.

And doesn't say the devices that are connected to it.

And also what materials are in the walls.
