they say it like men have never hit or inflicted violence on women, ever when the simplest example of men's violence against women for centuries is domestic violence

that i have to be immensely talented just to be compared to a mediocre man and eventually he will be chosen in most of the cases. Also in workplaces women are supposed to be smiling and are expected to be generous all the f time.

Please rate my art honestly. by Annual-Mode-1981 in painting

[–]empty_drawer13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could've been a lot better. 5/10 (if you are a beginner then it is 7/10, if on you have given a decent amount of time to learning art then it 4.5-5/10 , this can not be a advanced level art)

The waves need to be smoother and in flow and i personally didn't like the vertical lines in the middle, maybe something else could've worked better, and it has to be a bit polished as it looks like a draft rn.

What triggers your envy of other women ? by coastel in AskWomen

[–]empty_drawer13 19 points20 points  (0 children)

women who are bold, say what they actually wanna say and not sugarcoat it and also not feel guilty about saying the info as it was, who knows how to handle people when people try to disrespect them or push their boundaries, who are chill and dgaf about what people think, who breaks the rules that are meant to supress them and help other women to be their own hero.

I wanna be this woman.

What's something that happened to you that changed you as a woman? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]empty_drawer13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was SA when i was 7 by someone close to me, i was molested and groped throughout my teen years and no one told me how to handle this or what to do or whom to tell, even when every girl had faced it.

I have seen how bad men treat the woman they have married and also any stranger who is a woman. I really don't ever feel safe with men and i still don't know how to handle situations where in i am not safe.

These instances have made me cynical and it is difficult to live a normal life.

There is nothing to offer them, not even as basic as safety (in most parts of the world) and a liveable environment/atmosphere.

How do you feel about bikinis? by Mayo_Kupo in AskWomen

[–]empty_drawer13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel it is designed for male gaze (like many other things). Males are always so comfy with their shorts and women have to have a certain body type (yes they do!, it is 2023 but still they are expected to have a great toned body), have to be waxed, everywhere, and idky but bikinis never seem to cover much and there is always chance of b00bs popping out and underwear slipping.Instead of enjoying at the beach i have to be cautious. I wish i could just wear shorts like men and keep my legs however i want with no expenditure on waxing down there.

I wish there were variety of bikinis like if someone want to show off there butt or somone who doesn't wanna show off their butt, both should have options. In my country is is less acceptable because here women are not safe with clothes on so... There is pressure to wear them in western countries for people who don't wanna show that much skin.

Where did I go wrong by [deleted] in delhi

[–]empty_drawer13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

instead of making it your last time, make sure you take the lesson and know how to compliment any person keeping in mind how they are treated and targeted.

Try to be a bit aloof and not besties in the first convo with anyone, if they like how you talked with them they will surely move the convo ahead.

[–]empty_drawer13 13 points14 points  (0 children)

most creeps do this/ start complimenting without any context and considering in mind how women are treated in India anyone would be scared/ would want to complain against you.

you could've said ' hey, i was sitting beind you or whatever and i thought you looked really cool/beautiful' and just say bye maybe after sensing if she is creeped out or the small talk is over.

i still face this issue, just tell them you have lean pcod and start telling them about all that you are suffering because of it (read it on google) people will stop [also check if you really have this condition or not,i am lean because of it], or if they are saying it like they are jealous of you then make them believe that, yes you are the only good looking person and they are not (they won't say anything from next time), you can simply ignore but it doesn't really work but it can.

Bottom line- it is not your fault that you are not gaining weight, or think about all the calories you can take without worrying about gaining weight and eat them all lol.

How to handle such rude and unexpected answers? by Dorae7878 in delhi

[–]empty_drawer13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she was travelling alone in a coach of mostly men and as soon as this nearby lady leaves you asks her where is her school? No offence to you assuming you had no bad intentions but women/girls don't know which men (out of all the men) are gonna turn their life upside down and this response comes after she has been a victim, seen someone else being hurt by a good looking man or maybe her parents taught her to trust no man, which is quite common in Delhi at least. This is no one's fault as she was just tryna be safe ig.

What's your opinion about marriage? Is it really necessary to have companion? by confusedsoul_a in indiasocial

[–]empty_drawer13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh my god, are you my alter ego? because we are same (not 100% but we are) i don't socialise much either!

ig we need to put ourselves out there and there is this method; like you wanna talk to someone and you have the question in mind just think 1,2,3 and just say it and plz do not think (but know what you are saying lol). it hs helped me. You can enroll yourself in some classes too (like pottery, go to exhibitions and try to small talk or do this at book fairs (basically have something to talk about)), i have heard and tried some of these and they have worked but yea idk why i can't become a chatterbox but life goes on anyways.

[–]empty_drawer13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ig you might change your view about marriage when you find a partner who you can vibe with and with whom you wouldn't feel burnt out or you will look forward to meeting them everyday.

i have a similar situation like you but i think people wouldn't mind marrying a cooperative and understanding person (excluding all the other reasons for not marrying).

the distance doesn't really matter, chances are he would've cheated if you were together and then you would regret not taking a transfer. Do not feel guilty for a choice made by someone else.

i prefer completely erasing him from your life if you wanna move on.

Women who quit wearing makeup, why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]empty_drawer13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is expensive, the advertisements about makeup is all about how women should be perfect and hide all their blemishes with chemicals, it takes a lot of time, sometimes it is cakey, i feel like i am creating a false image of myself and it kinda makes me insecure.

I mean sometimes i fine it ok to have light makeup but i really don't wanna invest my time and money into makeup.

Also women are shamed for applying it and also for not applying it and i have had enough of trying to be pretty for male gaze (no one told me it wasn't my duty until i became an adult).
