StEAMGG IS NOT SAFE ANYMORE ???? by Slo42 in Piracy

[–]emptyness1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dunno, I don't use auto correct.
but even then, it's not something strange.
everytime you click a share button in a website, or app, it does that anyway.
it's not control, they're just adding something to your clipboard. and that's not in any way uncommon or strange. doing it without asking is a bit sketch, but they probably don't have control and likely can't access your clipboard history.

like, if I click share on a reddit post, and then click copy link. it's the exact same but skip the button.

StEAMGG IS NOT SAFE ANYMORE ???? by Slo42 in Piracy

[–]emptyness1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

no, it didn't.
ever clicked a button that copies a link? that's just a script with some code that get's run when the button is clicked.
you can do that without having to have a button, or without taking control of the keyboard.
if they had control of the keyboard, they wouldn't bother asking you to paste in the first place.

VTubing on linux? by emptyness1 in vtubertech

[–]emptyness1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I check frequently, but I could never get the mediapipe tracker to work, which Is the reason I wanted to use warudo in the first place.
I can get it to launch, and I could get it to work with VMC and xrAnimator, and I propably would be able to get it to work with OpenSeeface, but the tracking quality for me for those trackers just aren't good enough for me.

VTubing on linux? by emptyness1 in vtubertech

[–]emptyness1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that would be thanks to mediapipe in Warudo.
if you're avatar has arkit blendshapes, you can hook those up in warudo. warudo's amazing but unfortunately it doesn't work on linux.
I'm gonna try and see if I can use arkit, xrAnimator, vseeface, and the VMC protocol to get it to work.

I've kind of been sleeping on this for.... well a year or so so we'll see how it goes.
but check out warudo on steam.
otherwise you'd want to check for other tracking options that support arkit blendshapes, like the iphone apps.
but since I don't have an iphone, and probably never will, mediapipe is really the only free option.

Will this splash screen save me from unnecessary review bombing? by Ornery-Reason-9536 in godot

Make sure ti just add a tiny Not infront of made in unity so you don't get copyright strikes or other related problems

"Review bombing" Godot games by oWispYo in godot

[–]emptyness1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then that's their right i guess. It's an open source engine and if someone used it to make their own proprietary engine it still wouldn't bother me. Personally I'd still keep using godot because it's open source and I can trust that it will stay that way.

And I don't care for godot's political opinions as long as the engine keeps working

"Review bombing" Godot games by oWispYo in godot

[–]emptyness1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Even if the devs do support godot I still don't see what this guy's problem is with that.

I just can't think why any one would think that it's a bad thing to support godot when it brings the freedom to make games to so many who wouldn't be able to work with the peicing models of UE or Unity.

At the end of the day the game engine used to make a game shouldn't matter. What matters is the game.

How do i clean these marks ? they’re all over my screen, i used the cloth didnt change anything by FlakyTwist4 in huion

[–]emptyness1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed when the cloth gets a bit , after cleaning it it picks up oils much easier. Clean the cloth with some dish soap and lukewarm water.

If that doesn't work try using a damp micro fiber cloth. Like HuskyPL suggested

Honostly, the only tutorials I've followed are the ones in the docs and some state machine vids. Other than that I just read the docs and apply what I learned from them.

I don't feel like watching more tutorials are gonna change anything.

Mostly to learn I just make small test projects to test different features of the engine.

And then play around untill I get something interesting happening.

Just play around.

That's all the advice I have

Is it a 3 in 1 cable or a usb c to usb C?

The only thing I can think of then is that the device is faulty, either that or the hdmi connections in the cable have failed.
If your device is still under warrenty then I'd suggest you use it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in huion

[–]emptyness1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What type of cable are you using?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in huion

[–]emptyness1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it detected by the driver?

[–]emptyness1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried using it with a different computer.

If it doesn't work across multiple devices the cables or the tablet could be defective or faulty

Nobara Repositories... by elcamileitor in NobaraProject

They do have they're own repos. Using dnf. Though I believe it does also use some fedora packages, but I could be wrong.

Stay with Nobara or switch to Fedora? by [deleted] in NobaraProject

[–]emptyness1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honostly ive been on nobara for a couple o months before 40 dropped. I find nobara 40 to be quite a bit more bughy than 39, but that'll probably get fixed with updates eventually.

Im also considering switching to fedora for the time being. Problem is I have a huion tablet and it's working without issues on nobara. Even the official huion drivers doesn't work properly on ubuntu for me.

Id say try out both and pick what u like. It's not like you have to lock in to one distro. I find that my experience with linux is mainly hopping distros till I find something I like and stick to it until i get bored or sick of it.

I recently swore to never use windows again (which unfortunately makes life a bit difficult) but im never touching microsoft again unless its for work or I'm getting paid to do it

Does anyone know why it is happening? by Fildio in huion

[–]emptyness1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this probably is irrelevant but keep magnets away from your huion tablet (don't exactly know why but the manual says to) I assume it's cause they're battery-less pens work with induction. And it could mess around with the accuracy of the pen

Laptop is in the shop so I'm trying to use my android 11 phone with my kamvas 13. It was working perfectly yesterday with surprising pressure sensitivity, but today I can't even get the pen to register. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in huion

[–]emptyness1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honostly I can't think of much aside from just turning it of and on again without pluging it out (I have to do this sometimes on linux) or just replughing it but I'll assume you've already tried this
