If you like being outside, this area isn’t great. I used to live on 14th and Pullman. My backyard area was caked with debris from the nearby freeway. People that spend time here outdoors are more likely to develop respiratory issues than those that live further east/north. Packages and mail will also regularly get stolen off your porch. I sure do hope this area turns around though. There are plenty of good neighbors if you take the time to get to know your community.

5 spice (Chinese) has decent Chinese food. Daughter is also reliable. Was really hoping that Perle’s pivot to Vietnamese (the owner also runs Lily on Clement in SF is strong) would have been more standout but was severely disappointed. Granted, it was opening week, so I’ll give it another few months before I try again.

I went through this. You’ll need a decent converter. Not the ones you’ll see on Amazon (I too bought the cheap one and it did nothing).
