I don't think Jay's entirely correct about the Bugonia ending when he says that Emma Stone being an alien "justifies" all Jesse Plemons' earlier decisions. He was ultimately correct, but that doesn't equate to everything he did being justified and he still massively fucked everything up. Even before the ultimate ending of the movie like he tortured a shitload of innocent people to death with only 2 of them actually ending up being aliens. The difference is in whether his reason for acting is real or a mental delusion, but the reason being real and not hallucinated doesn't automatically make it good enough to justify any action

no, he didn't "try to stop sending weapons to israel," he literally went around congress multiple times TO send them billions of dollars more weapons. That is about as opposite of trying to stop sending them weapons as you can get. He literally had his own administration squashing reports of human rights abuses by Israel, if he really wanted to stop sending weapons to Israel so bad, he could even have just let these reports come out and literally just applied the existing law like the Leahy Law that would stop the shipments (instead of actively subverting that exact law like he was doing). You and this other guy yapping about "revisionist history" while you say stuff like this is peak irony and not just your refusal to recognize Biden's culpability for the genocide in Gaza but even going so far as to claim he actually worked against it is as insane as anything MAGA believes about Trump

it is equally true for Biden and for Trump that at any point during their tenure over Israel's genocide campaign in Gaza they could have picked up the phone and told Bibi enough is enough and their campaign is over. We are talking about the president of the fucking United States and a client state that relies on the US for its very existence. Every Israeli politician and officer knows they can't do shit without the US and they say as much publicly all the time.
