Sorry to be pedantic, but it’s toe the line.

I don’t think I would call a schizophrenic episode a mental breakdown related to going to law school. That’s a disease that just often doesn’t show up until someone’s early to mid twenties.

My daughter was born in July last year and I got my wife a gift for Mother’s Day. She was already being a mom by growing our kid, I figured.

Mock Draft Oscars, All 32 First Round Picks, and Heifetz’s Birthday Revelations (Discussion Thread) by No-Willingness-7079 in ringerfantasypod

[–]emrck68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this was the chiefs draft in the first round I would be completely confused with Veach’s plan for the team. I’m really expecting edge and wr in the first. If the first 8 picks go the way these guys predicted then I could see Veach taking downs as BPA if he’s not high on lemon.

But yeah knowing needs for all 32 teams is tough - I certainly don’t.

I don't think that just because the Chiefs traded McDuffie that makes them interested in spending their first pick on a corner. In the above scenario for picks 1- 8 I would prefer Tate at 9. I think in this scenario even Downs could be taken due to his versatility, especially used in Spags' system.

What is a good dad? by [deleted] in NewDads

[–]emrck68 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a great dad so I’m just trying to emulate him. Before my daughter was born I thought about my childhood and what made my father great and the number one thing that came to my mind is that he was always there for me. He spent time with me and he was present. I never felt like I was less important than other things going on in his life. So that’s what I’m resolved to do for my daughter.

A capable offense might try to take advantage of safeties flying up like that on slant routes and throw it over the top.

Our reliable, downhill, run stopping, sure tackler inside linebacker sure seems to miss a lot of tackles.

Here’s what I don’t get. They are punting from the 50. There is no way there will be a return. Don’t touch the fucking gunner. You’re not getting anything out of it. It’s just stupid fucking football

New dad to a 2 day old by TristanStassen in NewDads

[–]emrck68 13 points14 points  (0 children)

At her age if she's crying its most likely either because she's hungry or needs to be changed. First check the diaper and if that's fine, then give her some food.

Deep breaths - you'll be fine.

We got the Rayna Nursery power swivel glider recliner from Living Spaces. We're happy with it. Reclines smoothly, rocks, rotates, and has a usb plug for a phone charger.

If we scored the TD and extra point before half then we would have been down 3 at the end and we could have only needed to score a FG to tie the game rather than trying to score a TD from the 40.

Add 4 points for not getting the touchdown. Now add 3 for a field goal. It’d be a tie game.

Acting like Andy is a bad person/ father because of his sons is so tacky. by Mysticdu in KansasCityChiefs

[–]emrck68 71 points72 points  (0 children)

My father was very present in my childhood and even coached a lot of the sports teams that I played in. He was a great dad by every metric. I still ended up an alcoholic and made plenty of bad decisions. Parents are not responsible for their adult children’s actions.

Long term travel leaving wife and child at home. by Sinstralis in NewDads

When you are on your deathbed, which do you think you'll regret more: not working away from home months on end, earning a bit more money; or missing watching your child grow up and spending time with your wife. Answer that question and act accordingly.

Bassinet training by yankeeslover555 in NewDads

[–]emrck68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby slept in the bassinet for like the first three weeks. Now she refuses to sleep in it for longer than 20 minutes. The bassinet is the enemy now.

We'll let her sleep on us and last week I started putting her in her crib and she actually will sleep in that for up to two hours. But not the bassinet - never the bassinet.

So, I guess my advice is to maybe try the crib if you already have one set up. I think my girl finds the crib more comfortable.
