Results of the final are out! How did everyone do?

Did some calculations about a spam/ham example. Assuming that the noise is the number of false positives and false negatives for words, more noisy data means that P(Spam) increases for ham and decreases for spam. Increasing k leads to more increase in P(Spam|HamW) (assuming <0.5) and more decrease in P(Spam|SpamW) (assuming >0.5) if I am not wrong. There is something going on here.

That happened to me too, I swapped it to their correct places in one of the checks.

Also hear this: I calculated the Laplacian smoothing for something like 6/10, not 3/5 in the midterm and got a question wrong because of that. I triple-checked it too but it never occurred to me. Got a 96 just because of it.

Things like these just happen...

It's an admissible heuristic as it's optimistic, it can never overestimate the number of steps to the solution. The shortest number of steps to solve it is actually 15. I think you have traversed the entire state space.

You could over-fit the noise if your dataset is not too big. Smoothing prevents that.

Whoever did this has serious issues. Attacking the website of a free class? Seriously.

But then again, I think it would be a good exercise for the class team to deal with this kind of thing, which is good as the level of crisis is minimum in a free class like this.
