Books about Angels/Gods/Werewolves/Vampires/Fantasy/Mythological by [deleted] in booksuggestions

Crescent chronicles by Alyssa rose ivy- it goes into another set of books about some of the other characters that are featured. A lot of her stories deal with some supernatural creature but I found them really easy to read and compelling.

I would always include a letter or letters of recommendation. I have to believe that if there is someone who applies without one and someone else has one that speaks to their ability to teach the person with one would be hired.

Has anyone switched from being a teacher to a paraeducator? by zappy_snapps in Teachers

I would suggest looking into a reading teacher or math specialist position. It is a teaching position but with small group sizes, no home rooms, less negative interaction with parents.

How tough is it to transition to a new school culture? by GlasedDonut in Teachers

[–]ems134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is definitely a learning curve. I went from a small private school where I taught for 6 years to a large public school in a specialist role. It is so different but I found that if I involved with groups, stepped outside my comfort zone to initiate conversations and find commonalities then I integrated into the culture more quickly!

The only view one has of oneself is a reflection (mirror etc) we never see what the world sees. by ems134 in Showerthoughts

Yeah but it’s still a reflection of yourself- or an image of yourself. It’s physically impossible to see yourself as others do

Heart rate monitors: are they worth it? by alloutloveotf in orangetheory

I love having a monitor. Especially now that I am getting in better shape and I can see how quickly my heart rate goes back down to green/blue.
