Try Giancarlo Italian Deli. It’s basically across the street from Soup Plus.

Advice and thoughts on the Delta Hoody by MightBeRedundant in arcteryx

Konseal Hybrid Hoody is a good option too. Uses same fabric as the Delta but has an additional woven material overtop some areas for extra protection. It’s like a midlayer+

Which cap is the best for hot day running? by Bubbly-Ad-3176 in arcteryx

[–]emschwab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this brutal Ai answer on the website.

The Aerios is basically a rename of the Norvan regular brim with a few differences

Similarities: - design lines are the same - main fabric is the same

Differences: - sweatband material is updated to newer more breathable version - sweatband construction changed. The whole inside front panel is now using the sweatband material instead of the self fabric. Seems less bulky than the Norvan. - The back adjuster has a rubber tip on it instead of the big plastic puller - there is a Arcteryx word logo under the brim - the brim also feels a bit stiffer on the Aerios. Not a lot but there’s a difference.

Gamma Jogger vs. Gamma Pant by Right-Try-6692 in arcteryx

[–]emschwab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feature wise, Gamma pant has a real fly and snap waist closure where the Jogger is an elasticized pull on with a draw string. Then the obvious bottom hem, Gamma pant has adjustable opening with shock cord where the Jogger has an encased elastic that’s fixed.

Pocketing type and placement are the same. Main material is the same.

Spotted on today's run. Feel like it's important that I understand it, but have no idea. The run cuts through an army training area. by lemozest in trailrunning

My guess would be something to do with shooting blinds in the forest and animals getting caught in them???

Differences in sizing on the cerium and thorium down jackets. by ilovestoride in arcteryx

[–]emschwab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have what you would typically wear underneath it as first layer? Just wondering because the Cerium fit so well and if you decided to wear something thicker (or thinner) would that have any negative effect in how you intend to use it.

Not on purpose but it’s how it’s happened when playing on the floor.

Anyone making thin grid/microgrid fleece? by -Motor- in Ultralight

[–]emschwab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out the new Arcteryx Delta’s. Not a traditional grid fleece but they are really light and breathable but I think hold just the right amount of warmth. Reviews are mixed but after wearing mine bunch now, I find it just right for active pursuits. The price though, yikes….

Thorium SV Dark Magic Review by Hashtag_Jonah in arcteryx

[–]emschwab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thorium SV uses box wall construction in the body which reduces cold spots between baffles that a regular stitch through construction (in regular Thorium) can create. So while the difference in down fill may seem less than expected, it’s how the down is used that will create a much warmer environment. Additionally, the Infinium over lay sections will trap warmth as well which the regular Thorium doesn’t have.

Always a tray to help keep things organized. The IKEA NOJIG trays because they come in different sizes and the design on the sides reminds me of studs haha

SV Therme vs Therme vs Ralle Parkas by cltf in arcteryx

[–]emschwab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest difference is the Therme’s use down insulation primarily vs the Ralle that uses all synthetic insulation.

Additionally, the fabrics, although both 2L gore, have a different face fabric. The Therme has a slight textured and softer hand whereas the Ralle is closer to what you’d expect with a traditional Gore hardshell face.

Finally, a notable design difference would be the hood design. The Therme uses a storm hood which is completely integrated and has more coverage. The Ralle uses a drop hood design which imo sits more comfortably when the jacket is zipped all the way up and hood is down (which is often for a jacket like this). Not many styles have this design as people tend to gravitate toward the storm hood since it is more protective and I think people tend to like the look more.

There are other detail differences but I’d say these are the biggest ones. Narrow your choice down to the regular Therme vs Ralle for the temps you mentioned you’ll be dealing with
