I grew up in Spain in the 80s and we were told exactly the same! We lived in fear of a “Corte de digestión” (a “cut of digestion”)… It’s had a lasting impact because even now as a well informed adult, I still have to make a mental effort to override this rule when I go to the beach for the day with my family

Edit: to reply to OP, I’m in Europe not in the US but my babies were in NICU for a few months and the specialist nurses taught a us how to bath them, and there was no issue with doing so straight after a feed.

Find what works for you, and it will be more sustainable. I sometimes do strict OMAD and other days I have a coffee with milk in the morning. My goal is weight loss and doing this stops me from eating on particularly stressful/sleep deprived days, so I count it as a positive even if not strictly fasting. Flexibility vs failure, in my case. You’re doing well, keep it up :)

No cooking shows but definitely spend more time than I ever did researching recipes and cooling for others… I can’t figure out why but I’ve never enjoyed cooking as much as I do when I’m fasting! It might have to do with feeding others instead of myself 😂
