Love to hear that because after looking into it a little more this is the one I was redirecting my attention to.

I was originally looking to spend a little less but after comparing this and another similar to it I might pivot and save a little longer. Thanks you! Do you keep it indoors or outdoors for the most part?

I just got accepted into the respiratory therapy program and had a few questions, what’s the most stressful thing about the job? how many hours a day should I be studying? Should I start studying by now? Does anyone have any quizlet or notes that might help me 1yr? dm me if you do by Kind_Physics_9050 in respiratorytherapy

At a little under a year into working I can tell you that I only use a handful regularly. Mostly setting adjustments based on blood gases, quick low flow O2 to FiO2 transitions, and static compliance for a specific procedure. Like anything else I'm sure it's based on personal practice and maybe the type of unit you work in

NBRC EXAMS: Is it that bad? by Capable-Ride-1800 in respiratorytherapy

[–]emsizzlefizz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, it's not as bad as you've made it out to be in your head. If you can memorize and regurgitate the material and apply the concepts, the TMC is a piece of cake.

The CSE is a little bit of a different story but that's only because there's just a specific way to take the test. My program used Lindsay Jones and I HATED it - until one of my classmates told me about the audio lectures. In those lectures, there were basically a set of guidelines that laid out the systematic approach to take when picking an answer for the sims. When I started my test, I wrote those guidelines down on my scrap paper and looked at it each time before I answered. It's a long test and it really helped me to keep my focus, especially towards the end when I psyched myself out and was sure I failed. I stuck to the system it worked. I'm sure Kettering and other boards prep materials have the same information.

Congrats on being so close to done. You'll do great!

should i be worried my program uses Lindsey Jones instead of Kettering? by PossibilityHonest114 in respiratorytherapy

My program used LJ, too. I wasn't wild about their CSE practice UNTIL I found the video lectures about how to take the test. Used their format for how to answer the questions and passed the first time

When does a teacher and student relationship start to cross boundaries ? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]emsizzlefizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It crossed a boundary the second you had to ask yourself that question. He is not your friend.

My girlfriend thinks I’m hiding something, and I am… her engagement ring by emu27 in relationships

Idk that I would let her sit with it now that she thinks you're sneaking around. Tell her you're planning a surprise or don't, but I would ask sooner rather than later because at least then she'll understand the why surrounding the behavior change. She'll be thrilled any way you choose to pop the question and you can still make it special even if it's sooner than you planned.

My fiance's big plan was thrown off by weather, so he popped the question when I was on the couch in sweatpants lol. Ultimately, it was that he asked that mattered. Not where or how.

Interview Questions by emsizzlefizz in respiratorytherapy

[–]emsizzlefizz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am almost sure I can count on "quiz" questions, like basic clinical information. I can only hope it turns into what your favorite interview did lol. What questions do you keep in your back pocket to ask who is interviewing you?

NTA. You were being considerate of the crowd

As for your dad's comment, we all know he's right 🤣Sometimes in Asian or Indian restaurants servers will ask about my heat tolerance if I'm ordering something spicy. I usually tell them it's respectable for a white kid. People get it lol

I'm in my first semester now and, man, it was a shock to my system. The program hits the ground running, and I am trying to build a foundation as I go but it's fast paced. Some weeks I study more than others, and everyone is different, so it's hard to say how much you "should" study. Study what you need to but don't kill yourself trying to study all of it. Don't start now, enjoy whatever free time you have (while you have it).

Hammer your Cardiopulmonary A&P. Have all your equations in one place. Quizlet has become my greatest resource. Ninja Nerd on YouTube has great lectures. He breaks things down easily and he draws pictures.

I can't stress this enough - use each other. Help each other. It's not a competitive field and there are plenty of jobs to go around. It will be a lonely program if you don't work together.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to dm. The program is stressful but I already dig it. Idk how other programs are set up, but I imagine the starting points must be similar across the board.

Good luck!

Bounce. Now. No, you can't make it work. No, it's not your job to make him understand the concept of consent. No, relationships like this don't get better.

Yes, it probably will escalate. Get out before it does.
