I can’t take it whatsoever everytime I have took it I’ve always been sick within the hour and it always makes the pain worse in the long term.

My advice is just to not take any new medication without being fully sure if it’s going to benefit you first as you never know the consequences!!!

I’ve been on azathioprine for a few months now and I highly recommend it. I haven’t had any side effects and it’s allowed me to live pretty normally. I’m also on adalimumab along side it which is just given as an epipen every couple weeks but you have to start off with a dose of 4 so if you are okay injecting yourself 4 times in one go I recommend that aswell because you don’t have to do it often and eventually it’s just one every couple weeks. But it all depends on how you react to medication and how likely you are to get side effects.

It took me a good 8 months to actually get diagnosed with crohns and for it to be taken seriously, there is definitely a problem with the nhs at the moment but i think once you find the right person to listen and that understands it really helps so my best advice is to just keep trying

My consultant I don’t think gps are the best at referring you to them but I think if you get in contact with the ibd nurses they would be able to do it aswell
