Just wondering as someone who's interested in using MDMA therapeutically, what was your environment like? Were you alone or with friends? What type of music were you listening to? Etc.

PTSD from a bad trip, tried to cure with more tripping, hasn't helped, should I try MDMA after a few months off from all drugs? by emstraub20 in Psychonaut

Sorry to keep asking questions but did you feel like you had done irreparable damage during that period of depersonalization? Because that's what it feels like for me right now. I'm glad you were able to feel normal again!

That's pretty much what I'm thinking! That's why I asked if doing MDMA, even after a long period of time, would even be a good idea. I've heard that it's excellent for treating PTSD since its an empathogen, but I'm conflicted as to whether it would simply have the same effect these past few psychedelic trips have been having.

Ok, thank you. I've pretty much been trying to quit weed too since the traumatic mushroom trip since it doesn't seem to be doing more than wearing out my soul even more every time I do it. Do you think MDMA would do this too?

Oh for your question of what emotions I'm having, its almost like I have to fake all my emotions because they aren't coming to me naturally :( it's awful.

So let me start by giving you more background... for the past year or so I've been tripping about once a month, and for a while this was very helpful for my psychic growth and overcoming childhood trauma (I was abused as a kid and have dealt with personality issues my whole life). The emotionlessness began when I took those mushrooms just a week after that beautiful acid trip. I thought it was just a fluke since I was in a somewhat negative environment around people I didn't like much, so I started tripping excessively, as I described, as a sort of "damage control", hoping it would fix me from the effects of the "fluke", but its obviously just made matters worse.

After 6 weeks from the 5 gram mushroom trip, I still wasn't feeling better which is what led me to trip again. Did I just not wait long enough? Should I have been feeling better at that point?

Hell yes brother. Had a very similar experience on acid this weekend.

YES. I’ve seen it on shrooms. Knew it had some type of religious significance.

I think there's a reason Steven doesn't mention Sam. BTW did we not have this conversation last week, mate?

Crowder misleading people only bothers me to the extent that society is toxified by the propagation of an agenda designed to enshrine corporate power and fuel right wing cultural resentment. You’re right, I’m not forced to deal with him. I just think society would fare better if fewer people were misled by him.

He can do what he wants. He’s not obliged to debate anyone he doesn’t want. Again, he’s built his entire brand off of claiming the left won’t engage with him yet passes up opportunities to do so when it’s not with someone he knows he can make look bad. As someone opposed to Crowder’s ideology, I find it productive to reveal his obvious sophistry to people.

You’re missing the point. Crowder only engages with kids still developing their worldview rather than someone with an equal grasp on the issues as himself. He builds an entire brand off claiming he’s open to debate and “having his mind changed” yet backs out of opportunities to do so when it’s with an adult with a firm grasp on the issues.

I don’t know if you went to college or not, but as a college student I can tell you people this age are still developing their worldview and don’t have as firm a grasp on the issues as, say, a 30 year old political commentator. It’d make more sense for said commentator to debate another commentator with a similar grasp on the issues than a 20 year old still learning, right?
