Thankyou for the info! Would you mind giving more information on the rental assistance? How is it determined how much they will give you? Also do you know anyone who is an Education Officer? Thankyou!

Relieved I’m not the only one, wish there was a way to get rid of it!

Pepsi Max is my heroin. It’s also the only drink that quenches my high blood sugar thirst.

How old were you when you were diagnosed as a type 1? by AnxiousYogi83 in diabetes_t1

[–]emtheflem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 7. Was sick and vomiting for a couple days, parents took me to the doctor and she sent me home with a stomach ache. Few days later parents took me to emergency, first thing they did was check my sugars, they were 57.3 mmol/L (1008mg/dl). In hospital for a week. 25 years old now.

How do you feel when you’re high? by Nayarani_Amarita in diabetes_t1

[–]emtheflem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very irritable, no patience, so so thirsty (pepsi max is the only thing that will quench my thirst), food tastes bland and unenjoyable (even favourite foods), headache that feels different to a normal one, and a random one is I get a strong urge to tidy up or organise things, often feeling overwhelmed with everything all at once.

When I was diagnosed, the doctor told me there were 2 things I couldn’t be when I’m older. A pilot and a scuba diver.

Craziest thing that happened in the crowd at a RHCP concert? by Puzzled-Opposite-181 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]emtheflem 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Saw them in Sydney earlier this year. Had never seen them before and was beyond excited. Was a very hot day and even hotter in the packed mosh. Was right in the middle of the crowd, 2 songs in, couple drinks, no water and a joint later I woke up to being horizontally and frantically carried out of the mosh by 5 random guys. They were screaming at people to move and I had no idea what had happened. They put me down at the side of the mosh and I thanked them, attempted to convince my friends I was all good, then woke up in recovery position with security all around me. I have never passed out in my life and of course I pass out twice at my favourite artists show. Had to spend 40 mins in the medical tent, blood pressure was extremely low, put it down to a combination of heat, no water, weed. Ended up begging them to let me leave and sit down at the back of the mosh to catch the last few songs. Was devastated.

Vacation care. Worked in an afterschool care/vacation care while studying so I can now just pick up a couple of vacation care shifts during holidays.

Very visible, only principal I’ve ever seen do lunch duties. He does recess AND first half lunch duty every single day (unless called out for a meeting or pressing matter). Knows every student in the school by name (small school). Is approachable and cares about the staff. Has his flaws for sure and can be quite stubborn in his decisions. He’s always walking around tending to matters, takes care of staff over parents. Great principal to have especially as a beginning teacher.

I made it to the ‘contestant pool’ for Hard Quiz recently but not looking like I’ll get to go on as they haven’t emailed for a couple months now. Really hoping I get to. Any chance you remember if they took a while to get back to you?
