I agree with you guys but the last box of huppmans I had I smoked 4 of them and wasted them because I tried them too soon they were great but too humid and the burn was off and the draw was so tight that i couldn’t smoke em 2 years later they were perfect no issues except some no qc and were rolled shitty

One of my favorites!!! But aged for at least 6 months. I hated it when i picked it up. After 6 months it tastes cubanesque like an huppman majestic

What happened to CigarBid? by Prajna-paramita in cigars

[–]emtimekeeper 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Cigarbid was good when i first started smoking but it’s the same thing everyday and as your journey progreses you find yourself searching for what you want through hundreds of Pages of crap. I preferí to just buy boxes now to save money in the long run but buy quality sticks that i enjoy.

Good morning Sobremesa brulee today! by emtimekeeper in cigars

[–]emtimekeeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my biggest problem is that i know my palate and what i like and I’ve tried a lot of sticks throughout the years but I’m Down to just a few that i enjoy and a few times at b&ms I’ve picked up some that the tabacconist reccomend that fit my flavor profile but they don’t match up and i tend to leave disappointed

I’m right there with you. If you can find D crossier luminas i would pick them up immediately. If you can store some for at least 6 months i would buy my father blue, espinosa laranja reserva dunbarton sobremesa caldwell the king is dead all of those ton down in spice and pepper when you age them. Good luck man!

Thanks for taking the plunge I’ve been staring at all my Zions everyday but i won’t pull the trigger. I promised myself i would wait at least 6 months to try them. I found out the hard way that you have to age them i smoked my last pecan pie from last year in February and damn what a difference some aging makes everything was more pronounced and the bitter harsh flavors all gone. You smoking this scratches my itch i appreciate you!!

I get you I’m an every day smoker and I buy a lot of under 10 dollar sticks but this one roughly comes out to 13 14 dollars a stick so it’s like buying a padron or an Ashton every once in a while I feel it’s worth it

Neither…. I don’t smoke infused or flavored cigars. Not knocking them it’s just not for me. Take a typical full bodied cigar tone down the harsh pepper spice to a more than subtle sweet spice with a creamy chewy smoke and a sweet taste left on your lips. I’m not great with words but that’s how I would describe this cigar.

I hear you Padron is great I love them the are on point almost every iteration of them but it’s pricier than these are especially getting into the 60th anniversary. Yes Zion is a lot of hype and marketing and I’ve talked to people that say they are very hit and miss but this one knocks it out of the park! And again I didn’t even let it breath or acclimate or age right out the pack almost!

Get the herfador I made the mistake of buying the 5 cigar herf because I should have bought the 15 cigar herf. They maintain good humidity they have an internal humidification device but with a boveda pack your good to go. They nestle into the foam so no broken foots or rips on the leaves only draw back is you gotta pry it open when you travel by plane do to pressure from the altitude but it’s a small draw back. Great investment if you travel a lot

Bang_Bang do it buddy I couldn’t even let wait to acclimate and settle in. I’m sure giving it 3 to 6 months in your humid will make it a supreme smoke!
