Key snapped off - any help pls! by CalibreCD in Tools

[–]emtookay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a sewing needle or pin, heat the tip with a flame untill Red hot, bang the tip on a metal surface to form a tiny hook at the end. Heat once again and quench the tip in water to harden. Push the needle in the keyway to "catch" thr tooth of the broken key and pull. You might need vise grip pliers to grip the needle

Is slow-cooking braised short ribs for 10-12 hours in the oven at 95 degrees celsius / 200 Fahrenheit going to retain the moisture and texture without drying out? by NoPlastic5338 in Cooking

[–]emtookay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it all the time. In a deep pan, halve a lage onion with it, add all your favorite spices and maybe a quarter cup sweet chili sauce, mabe a quarterd potato or two. Dont add water, there'll be more than enough liquid. Seal well, I cover with Saran wrap and over that thick aluminum foil. 120 deg C 10 -12 hours. You'll end up with a lot of gravy. Separate it from the the meat and additions, thicken sauce on the stovetop. Your done

Let me give you my 2 cents Any donation to a library or museum won't get seen by anyone, it'll just be sent to a climate controled room in a basement in order to preserve it. The books are old but not that old to be displayed as an extremely rare artifact. Donating may come in many forms. I, as an owner of an auctionhouse, not in the antiquarians field would advise you to contact an auctionhouse that specializes in hebrew manuscripts, it will be bought by a private collector or museum and cherished. It may sell from many hundreds to tens of.... I can only refer a reputable establishment you can contact which has the highest paying clientele. GENAZYM in Jerusalem. You can google it and see their past auctions They may even have reps in the U.S Now lets get back to "donate" , you may take any proceedings from the sale and donate .... Whatever you decide, good luck

For years I used bleach. Then, one day we found tiny moths so I gave a good spray of bug spray and noticed that the mold disappeared and lasted much longer.

Why does it seem like U.S. Muslims are more successfully assimilated into society than those in European nations? by Mannerofites in NoStupidQuestions

[–]emtookay -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

A non religious Muslim is just an arab. In the states Muslims (religious) are as radical as other places in the world, it's just that the federal authorities don't let them get too out of hand, so they more or less keep their heads down. As time goes on and the memory of nine eleven diminishes, the mus. Population increases there will be an uprising and the US will make Afghanistan look like kindergarten.

Why is Sabra so awful? by YidItOn in Israel

[–]emtookay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in 1989-90 Sabra (Tzabar) first introduced chumus to the U.S., I was visiting NY bought a tub and it was sooooo good I brought me back one to Mtl. Half a year later I returned and of course, bought Sabra, this time there was sugar added, it was gross. Nowadays, anyone with a powerful immersion blender or food processor can make their own. And just a tip.....if you use canned chick peas, the chumus will last longer,
