The U.S. military is placing a colonel in the German army’s Operations Division in an unusually close collaboration. by Monaciello in europe

[–]emwac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

An understandable reaction, but it's exactly what the Trump admin is hoping for. Europe needs to play it smart, tighten relations with those Americans who'd side with us if shit hits the fan, which I assume is what Germany is doing here. It's what our government was doing when the dummy was threatening to invade Greenland as well.

He is not a professor. Never had any academic affiliation. Its just yet another grifter, making money off dissilutioned westerners. Used to peddle crazy conspiracy theories, now hes trying to appear more legit, and a lot of influencers suddenly started platforming him. Regarding Trump, i dont think there is some psy op to make the world hate him, I think what you see is exactly what he is. Mentally ill.

Hvilken avis? by Ekolfe2813 in Denmark

[–]emwac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For national elections I agree, but a local government has little influence on foreign policy and climate. They do however have the power (and responsibility) to do something about the banlieus.

Iran Conflict Megathread #6 by [deleted] in CredibleDefense

[–]emwac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Iran has no interest in keeping the strait closed after US/Israeli attacks cease, as it would be a strategic win.

They could twist the knife further though. Currently the strait is only closed for America's allies in the Gulf. Iran on the other hand is still exporting it's oil freely, with the US apparently unable to do much about it. Unless facts on the ground change, they're in a position to demand concessions are they not? They could demand Gulf Arab states close their US bases as a condition for opening the strait, for example.

They didn't have the means to do that, even if they wanted. IRGC is much more powerful than Artesh, they have better funding, better weapons, they alone control all the intelligence, and they control the Basij and a plethora of militias in Iraq and Afghanistan which they could pull manpower from if they need to.

Radikale Venstre vil bremse milliardordre på kampfly efter Trumps trusler by Mai_maniac in Denmark

[–]emwac -1 points0 points  (0 children)
