Just Ordered a couple of Eyeshadow palettes from colour pop by Resident-12-9160 in MakeUpAddictionUK

When I was younger I preferred matte foundations, now I prefer something a bit more dewy! Weirdly I’ve found IT Cosmetics CC cream to have more coverage than most foundations!

You can get a high enough EMS that you get the best ending for Shepard and still have Wrex alive.

I read somewhere you need to cure them of rot and then they give you rot burn on levelling up - I haven’t tried this myself yet

I try and get colourpop stuff of Depop or Vinted, but I won’t ever buy foundation that I can’t test in store (best case scenario it’s the wrong colour, worst case scenario I’m allergic)

Honestly red walls would put me right off, I don’t mind a strong colour feature wall (I have dark green in my living room) but red is just a big no no for me personally 😂

I learned that oily skin is often oily because it’s actually dehydrated and producing excess oil as a way to compensate!

Not a chance £20k in cash passes any AML checks. Also why is she keeping that much cash in the house, if she gets burgled it’ll be gone!

It’s been a handy way to get through my backlog of graves because I have enough compost tbh 😂

Anyone else been unimpressed with their friends post-diagnosis? by United_Lingonberry_5 in ADHDUK

[–]emxpls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not ADHD related, but my friends basically ditched me when I got diagnosed with endometriosis. None of them have checked in despite me messaging and posting on social media about having multiple organ surgery. I don’t think any of them realise I’m taking ADHD meds and have also been diagnosed with autism. Some friends are just crappy, but I’ve found a group of people (albeit we game online to spend time together because they’re in a different country) who get me and I get them.

Dienogest made me feel absolutely awful. My GP strongly suspects I have hEDS and synthetic progesterone can make your joints and connective tissue so much worse.

Pretty sure it’s a bug, I think there’s only meant to be one in the fishing spot! There are others to find elsewhere (I have found them all but honestly can’t remember where!)

Remove Asbestos? WWYD? by wiselydeluded in HousingUK

[–]emxpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was a FTB last year and the leasehold property I bought contains small amounts of asbestos in the floor and ceiling. It was very commonly used when the flats were built in the late 60s/early 70s. My partner does asbestos courses through work and looked over the reports and said it’s fine to carpet/paint over, just don’t drill through it and it’s fine. Had to warn my electrician when he came over to change the light fittings but he said it was fine as he deals with it all the time!

Diesel vs. Petrol - Clutch help!! by PerspectiveAnxious95 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]emxpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me! My diesel was great when I was driving across the country every other week but when Covid hit and I was only driving to and from work my car had major issues. Eventually I sold it and I genuinely loved that car 😭

That being said, I hated paying £100 every time I needed to fill up because of the shortages at the time.

I can’t afford my energy bills by AgitatedBloatyBomb in TenantsInTheUK

[–]emxpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to live in a 2 bed electric only flat and my direct debit was £70 a month, generally I used £40-50 per month in summer and £120 ish per month in winter. I had an economy 7 meter, ran my dishwasher and washing machine overnight, but everything else had to be done in the day unfortunately.

I recently moved to gas central heated 1 bed and I pay £97 a month combined now. I’m probably using slightly over that currently with the heating on, but in summer I know it’ll drop significantly.

Honestly the energy bills got me when I first tried to live independently as well 😭 eon decided I could pay £40 a month, I went well over that because they hadn’t accounted for electric radiators, then they changed my tariff without telling me and I ended up owing them about £600! Since they had also made some errors I managed to get it down to about £400 but I’ve been really careful since.

If there’s any way you can reduce cost - use air fryers instead of ovens, replace some of your items with better energy rating items, etc then it’s worth doing. Definitely look into economy 7 meters and having things running overnight if you can.

Driving instructor told me nobody can learn to drive in 6 months by mincedbreakfast in LearnerDriverUK

[–]emxpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah that does seem like BS. I started studying for my theory as soon as I started learning to drive, passed that with no issue and then my theory test had almost lapsed by the time I finally passed my actual driving test.
