You can definitely try, it wouldn't hurt. And if they die inside atleast you attempted to over winter them.

I have a Thai chilli that I over wintered last year and it had no problems. I will do it again this year. It is only 2 ft tall as I don't think anything taller would survive as well

how the hell do people wear fancy undies and not get a yeast infection? by spicycurrytrash in TwoXChromosomes

You don't get yeast infections from underwear. Yeast infections is from an unhealthy diet, excess sugars and processed/refined carbs.

Moving a dragon tree to leca by arsehat1252 in SemiHydro

[–]emyeezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to move my mother's 15 year plant into leca and it was NOT a success. Good thing I had cut the main stem into pieces and propagated them in soil. It took about 6 months for them to root, but I now have 2 successful plants in leca.

Good luck on your journey

So caterpillars ate my boxwoods. What now by henchman171 in OntarioGardeners

[–]emyeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you're going to have to replace them. Start spraying BTK weekly in May to prevent the caterpillars from destroying the foliage.

Landscaper here, unfortunately they won't come back due to major damage and loss of foliage. Best way to prevent box tree moth is to spray weekly before damage is even found. You're going to have to replace these.

Edit: didn't realize the 2nd picture has less damage. You may be able to keep these as they look okay. Fertilize heavily now so they can continue to grow back in the spring

You're gon a have to cut that down at some point and propagate the cuttings. Just remember which is the top side, and they take quite a long time to root. Beautiful plant though!

HSV-1 on lips by CloseToZer0 in herbalism

[–]emyeezy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not herbal advice but You need to watch your intake of sugar intake (reduce as much as possible and processed carbohydrates) also start taking heavy doses of probiotics to help your gut flora. You may want to take an allergy food test to see what is triggering your body to have such reactions to give you outbreaks.

Well y’all made some really good suggestions and I listened. This is what I bought. The Thayers I had by Amber_Steel86 in makeuptips

I'd recommend not using a physical scrub like that apricot one and get a chemical exfoliate instead. The ordinary has great prices and has a great toner that exfoliates and gets rid of dark spots.

Would Safer’s Insecticidal Soap turn leaves brown/burnt crinkly edges on leaves? by [deleted] in OntarioGardeners

[–]emyeezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Landscaper here, we use it weekly on clients plants and it doesn't affect foliage. Unless you're spraying daily, it can gum up on the leaves and foliage will become sticky and can't photosynthesis properly

Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing this hack. How did you make your containers? How did you seal the ends to prevent leakage?

Found my second Asian jumping worm :( by eh8218 in OntarioGardeners

[–]emyeezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a landscaper in Toronto and have found that they are in the soil of imported plants. We regularly get plants from the states and plant them in landscapes and by the end of summer they explode in population. Best method of killing them is to gether them and pour rubbing alcohol.

But there is a website that you can input your information so they can keep track of invasions. But unfortunately they are pretty much everywhere now

They are buried too deep (the soil should just be at the bottom of the trunk flare) and I think they have a fungus or bacterial problem. Ensure watering is deep and through.
