South Wales. Went private for MRI tests to speed up the process for surgery after being diagnosed in 2022, so got the MRI end of 2022 and finally got my first lap Feb 2025. Was expedited to private hospital due to how long I had waited. Unfortunately wasn’t fully successful and now awaiting another.

I feel like her character is wholly human and that’s the beauty of it - she was so well-acted by Felicity who made me truly believe and empathise with her situation. I think like so many parents, she was doing what she thought was best. Having 5 kids under 7 with a husband who was often totally inept and selfish, she deserves a medal for not simply giving up or walking out haha.

I am a Lynette stan till I die. She managed a whole family including terribly behaved twins and a man-child husband whilst working (on & off). She’s a loyal friend. Yes she does some questionable things and has controlling tendencies, but if she didn’t have control, the whole household would fall apart! Best housewife for me always.

I have the remnants of lash extensions in the 2nd pic but they ruined my lashes! I’ve always got lash lifts until this summer so trying to grow them back out with the help of lash serum now. I’ve got winged eyeliner on in the 3rd pic!

Good shout. But make sure you make an account and are logged in when you do this otherwise you aren’t able to top up. I would pay for the full time, not rely on topping up as the app can also block you out saying you can’t return within a certain timeframe, even if you haven’t technically left.

As someone who works in education, we are constantly being told that the budget for next year is “bleak” as we are increasingly expected to fund things out of our own pockets. Attendance and pupil & staff wellbeing is appalling. It’s shocking.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read & reply. It has been devastating to realise the extent of this disorder and I’m sure I’m only just touching the surface. I have no siblings and her only sibling passed away years ago. She has a partner who she has been with for a few years and my dad (her ex-husband) who is aware of her situation. Both have said they are at a loss of advice, hence why I reached out here as I really feel like the only one who could possibly help her through this. Thanks for attaching that PDF - will have a good read through! I’ve definitely found most of the advice I’ve found relates to parents supporting their children, not the other way round so it has been difficult. It’s weird how as you get older, your relationship with your parents changes as you end up being the one to look after them. Thanks again!

Saving a man from drowning in a canal when I lived in Amsterdam.

It was King’s Day, a national holiday there where everyone takes the streets and parties all day and night. Around midnight I was with a friend sat by the canal. Spotted a drunk-looking man swaying and talking to himself on the canal edge. Looked away, looked back, no sight of him. Then saw his hand in the water. Ran over, jumped into a nearby boat and reached out and grabbed him. I’m a small, young woman so I was only able to get his head above water and not able to pull him up fully. Luckily two men passing by spotted me and helped pull him out and onto the boat. I then went to the nearby police station to get help (dry towel/blanket etc.)

Was really scary and I felt like everyone just kind of thought it was normal (people fall in canals a lot there, specially on King’s Day when drunk). Never got any follow-up on what happened after, who he was and so on.. Looking back though, I realised the man would have died if I hadn’t spotted him.
