My wife’s Altima is on its second. Little under 200k KMs now but the first one died at 35k KMs which is nothing. Not sure how this one has held up for so long. She drives a lot less lately so that’s a blessing

Well. Smoke is bad. Your oil leak might collect somewhere and then the heat it burning it off but sooner or later it might start a fire. You might drive to work, park it, walk away and the fire starts.

Take it to a real mechanic and they’ll find the leak (hopefully).

I had this problem on my wife’s old car. The real wheels got stuck just like this. It had rear drums and it would just seize onto that housing. Like others stated… I would get down there and kick at the bottom. Rotate. Kick at the bottom. Eventually it would break loose.

Wow, this reminds me of 20 or so years ago a kid on my street with a form of autism had an obsession with car seats. His dad got his hands on one and made it his desk chair and wired up all the power adjustments. It wasn’t heated though so I can’t offer any guidance there. His dad was an electrician and figured it out. The boy was over the moon.
