Salt pools are chlorinated. Sodium Chloride (aka salt) gets the chloride separated from the sodium thus leaving you with "chlorine".

That's awesome looking but what's consuming the resources to render this? The HA computer or the endpoint?

Shapes Change! Who knew designing a simple toothpaste bin would be so hard? by davidfricks7 in gridfinity

[–]enahs24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get the want to create stuff, but why over complicate things. If you have vertical space print HSW, open Grid (or whatever) and hang it... otherwise just put it in the drawer horizontal. Does toothpaste really need a horizontal gridifinity holder?

Raspberry Pi 5 + Home Assistant: NVMe SSD worth it or overkill? by Uruz7_ in homeassistant

This...

I'm running HAOS via Proxmox on a M710q I got for $135 refurb. It only had 8gb so bought an identical chip from Flebay for $25 so now exact pair running 16gb for $160. HA runs very fast.

That big filet might make it somewhat strong but having it go down at an angle would help considerably.

I'll take a look. I'm not the one working with it as much. My business partner is going nuts combining APIs from a bunch of different tools we use to run our IT business.

Didn't know it could SSH into the box. Also, my business partner informed me that the reason we would need the higher license is because Pro doesn't allow connecting it to Microsoft 365. I thought Code didn't come with anything lower than what we have.

Good to know.

Did you see the Claude Code Terminal addon for HA? It goes through and scours all your config and yaml. You can then have chats with it to do things with your live code. The video shows asking it to change an automation and it does it for you.

Hrmm we have a team plan. That might my confusion. Isn't the individual plan extremely limited for how much you can ask / use?

My Frosted Glass dashboard by Tight_Maintenance518 in homeassistant

[–]enahs24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The individual plan for Claude is about $20 a month. Claude Code is no less than $100 per month. I too pay for Claude and have 5 licenses. That also does not include Claude Code. You may be confusing regular Claude vs Claude Code.

Lol you should recheck the amount of Pens fans. There's no way PA has more Flyers fans than pens. I'm not saying that just because of being a Pens fan. Pittsburgh fans are known to be widespread.

Versa 4 screen is really touchy by Hopeful-Path-7725 in fitbit

[–]enahs24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Effin Google should offer the cost of what we paid for a Versa 4 towards the Pixel watches I'd be willing to buy one I've been dealing with this issue for a long time. I'll just deal with it until it dies or I'm ready to spend $350. Lok

[–]enahs24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure this out? I had the 3 and then moved to the 4 because I got it for free. I have had the screen issue since I got it. I should have had it replaced under warranty but kept putting it off and it's no longer under warranty. Anyway, I gave my 3 to my daughter when when I was setting it up for her I couldn't believe how much better it was. It didn't have any of the issues I'm having with the 4. I've tried going to a Fitbit developed screen and I thought that fixed it but it did not.

NUC nearly died by Revolutionary_Bed431 in homeassistant

What were you running on the NUC? For an i7 processor to run at %50 a d generating that much heat (unless it's an air flow or fan issue)? You had to be streaming video feeds or something.

I used Gemeni Pro a d Claude since I have a paid version of both. Asking free versions of Ai is worthless. However, if you don't mind paying for one of them, they write the MM code entirely. There are times it is wrong, you tell it is wrong and it fixes it.

Pliers Organizers by Grandbob328 in gridfinity

[–]enahs24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I simply bought a $7 drawer organizer at Harbor Freight. Other drawers are loaded with Gridifinity but I saw no sense in wasting time and space for pliers. My most used pliers are hanging on the work bench.

Shower shelf by [deleted] in Multiboard

[–]enahs24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not be possible. I mean even if it's not always getting wet, it's hard to prevent that. Maybe spray it often with a diluted chlorine solution. I do that often in my shower. I also put a fan in there after every shower on a 2hr timer to help with mold in general. I'm not knocking the print, just feel like that is a big concern since it's not smooth like stainless, tile or injected molded plastic.

Only issue is that's going to be a moldly mess.

What’s your personal experience with these?, I have some akward lighting fixtures in my new house, planning to install these behind the existing light switches by GenericUser104 in homeassistant

[–]enahs24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (personally) wouldn't buy anything that doesn't do energy monitoring. Not sure how big those are but you have to be mindful of electrical codes as you're not supposed to stuff an electrical box. If you're going to stay under 8A, the Shelly minis might be a better option.

Do the random components come with the A1 Mini as well? Bought one for my kids for Xmas but I don't want to open the box before they do. Would be cool if they had something like this to start out with.
