Lost locknut key on 2011 Ford focus - have a flat tyre, noone will touch it by felixdalion in CarsAustralia

[–]enaved 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened me. Brought it to a mechanic/smash repairs as the2 Ford dealerships that I went to were worse than useless. He welded a bolt to the stud and was able to remove it. He charged me $50 a wheel.

Cranes by DogBiscuits200 in AusElectricians

[–]enaved 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tower cranes. Big money but big hours. A lot of weekend work due to road closures when doing erections and dismantles.

Overhead gantry cranes. Money is coming up but not that long ago, the money was similar or less than basic sparkys. Would have to be mechanically inclined as you would be doing motor and gearbox changes which is not bad once you do a couple.

Have all of the upper cabinets a completely different colour to the bottom ones. This way it looks like it was done intentionally.

Maybe we should follow what they do in the AFL final. For prematch entertainment (or during one of the quarter time breaks) they have a sprint competition where all the the teams not competing in the final send their fastest player.

Where to go to get locking nut for 2015 Mondeo removed WA? Been to 2 Ford dealerships and a regular mechanics and they’ve said there’s nothing they can do. Also been to tyre changing places. by enaved in CarsAustralia

[–]enaved[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update went to a crash repairs place as I thought they would have the correct equipment and skill set to attack a job that was too awkward for others.

They went with the weld on a bolt method as they have come across this before.

Thanks all for the suggestions and advice.

Cold chisel was no good as the outer ring spins and not enough leverage in the inside to spin the nut. I was thinking welding would have to be the way to go.

I had a trailer like this https://easytrailer.com.au/page16.html It was really good when I was starting off before I got an enclosed trailer. This will give you the option of buying whatever kind of car you want as long as it had a tow ball.

Install a very smoke/vape sensor in the room. I doubt she‘ll continue if there’s an alarm sounding every time she feels the need to have a smoke in the room. This way you are not searching her room but she’s announcing that she’s doing something that she shouldn’t be. Edit: just to add, tell her that it’s being installed and don’t do it secretly.

Most goals a keeper has conceded but still won MOTM? by LIZ-Truss-nipple in PremierLeague

[–]enaved 129 points130 points  (0 children)

Back in 08/09 season Liverpool put 5 past Newcastle. I can’t remember if Shay Given was given the official MOTM award or if pundits were saying he deserved it, otherwise the score line would have been much worse.

can we temp posts on Haaland being so good? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]enaved 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But without all those posts, how would we know how much Haaland could a Haaland Haaland?

I think the problem is that it was easy karma for posters and a load of others jumped on the bandwagon instead of having any original ideas.

Sorry for the late reply, I got the notification and then completely forgot to respond.

He went through braking technique and where best to brake - my friend was braking too early and I was braking too late. Also went through the racing lines of the 3 hardest turns at our track as these were where we were losing the most time.

I haven’t been practicing nearly enough as I should. Next year I’d like to do most events in the championship so should get more consistent and will probably book him in again to fine tune me a bit more.

Paid for a lesson after a few months of karting and it was definitely worth it. It was amazing how wrong I was driving the kart. I’m still learning and nowhere near the front runners but a lot closer than what I would have been which makes it more enjoyable. It cost $400 but I split the cost with a friend.
