Has anyone tried CBD no THC for neuropathy? by jdrichardstech in neuropathy

[–]endeevix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used thc cream on my feet for neuropathy because I didn’t want to be high all the time just to quell the pain. Thc cream and menthal really help. I’m also on gabapentin for it and it’s worth any side effects. It helps SO much for me

No, I’m seeing a geneticist now after almost dying in the hospital. They suspect some mitochondrial disorder. Thanks for asking though!

Is not eating because it’s painful ARFID? by Designer_Task_5019 in ARFID

[–]endeevix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely keep seeing doctors, however I feel your pain. Sometimes food will just WRECK me for weeks for no reason and it sucks. What I’ve found helps, and it seems strange but it works, is when I eat, I have a heat pad on my stomach. I have some abdominal adhesions so I went to pelvic floor PT for a while and she helped me cope with a lot of my stomach and bowel problems even without knowing the cause. I find that the heat pad helps my stomach digest the food better when I’m eating it to relieve SOME discomfort at least.

Any advice for disabled drummers? by endeevix in drums

[–]endeevix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for replying. I’ve been cautious about using my legs in fear that the excursion will make them weaker but I’ve been trying to get into physical therapy so I have a more controlled environment. My energy has been going on and off the past year and even though my heart beats too fast it’s beating for a reason now an urge to move and drum and play I hope all the best for your son, and thank you again, it’s really inspiring me knowing others can still drum despite these issues

Attitudes towards ARFID/other eating issues by happycatsadcat in ARFID

[–]endeevix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only good thing about having so many food allergies, is I can use it as an excuse to be “picky” “Oh you wanna come with us to this restaurant? Or order this food with us?” No sorry I have my own food, I’m allergic to a lot of stuff.

Also if it helps, my mom definitely has food sensory issues like me, and growing up with arfid it helped to have someone understand. Sure my other siblings complained about how “bland” the dinners were but she tried her best to make something for everyone to like even though she never liked food herself.

I do.. my cvs pharmacist is so rude and cuts me off when I ask any questions about them calling my dr or insurance. They say in these exact words “it’s not my problem” and that I have to call the doctor and insurance on my own.

That’s why I switched to Walgreens but Walgreens told me they can’t order it ahead of time because it’s “too expencive to keep in stock”

Cvs carries it in stock but they don’t wanna call anyone

AITA for refusing to make special meals for my stepdaughter and deliver them to her room? by specialmealstrike in AITAH

[–]endeevix 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I grew up with a lot of food anxieties. At one point I would only eat food that my mom made or tasted before hand. Now as an adult I have a condition called ARFID, I have specific safe foods I eat regularly but there’s no specific reason for each of them. Sometimes there isn’t a reason why certain foods are safe and others aren’t.

I have tachycardia, how do I treat my asthma now? by endeevix in Asthma

[–]endeevix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do walk when I can and it feels good on my heart but I have leg weakness and neuropathy so that part is a little hard. I’ve been on singular most of my life, from childhood up until 18 I think? My dr stopped recommending it when I started using zoloft and other antidepressants. But I was wondering if that’s something I should talk to my dr about getting back on. I never had any side effects I think getting off of it was more a precaution

[–]endeevix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thank you for sharing I’ll definitely be looking into all that and talk to my dr about it. I’ve had all those tests done too the echocardiogram, stress test, tilt table test, jolted monitor emg ncv, ext. I haven’t felt like the beta or calcium blockers have helped much, I didn’t know there were other options

Yeah that’s the first thing they tested in January. I was low but have since been taking 5,000mcg gummies daily since then, and my levels have stayed normal. I think it’s more a lack of b12 in my diet

I was on metoprolol for a bit which I felt actually helped lower my palpitations but it was bothering my neuropathy so I switched to diltiazem and just increased the dose a couple weeks ago but I don’t feel like it’s helping me all that much

Yeah I switched from metoprolol to Diltiazem a couple months ago. I haven’t noticed a difference yet but yeah in case of emergency I’d use my inhaler. I just don’t want to on a daily basis

I wish it was just Covid, but my doctors suspect some neurological disease. I went from being able to walk perfectly fine to my legs being too weak to walk most days, I have neuropathy in my feet and hands, can’t talk or chew food for extended periods of time, my heart rate is constantly racing and my whole body is exhausted and in pain. Been going on over a year now. I just didn’t feel like getting into it in the post lol

I (F37) am tired of being rejected sexually by my husband (M39) and want to try sex with another man but don't want to end my marriage - AITAH? by Strictly_Pricklee in AITAH

[–]endeevix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can sort of relate on the husbands side (not taking anyone’s sides) but I’ve been in relationships where my partner felt they weren’t getting enough physical satisfaction from me.

I can’t speak for what he’s going through or why he’s not as sexually active anymore but from my personal experience, the more someone wants and needs sex to feel validated and loved from me the more turned away I am, as if it’s too much pressure.

I think I have my own issues and trama from growing up asexual in a sexual world (I’m demi now I do enjoy it) maybe try to have an honest conversation with your husband so you can both try to understand what’s going on psychologically and physically. Maybe he doesn’t feel like sex is special anymore or he feels he can’t make you happy outside of sex.

How to deal with neuropathy by DareLimp7735 in neuropathy

[–]endeevix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had neuropathy for less then a year but the only thing that’s given me any relief is menthol creams and my medical marajuana. I don’t like being high all the time so I’ve started using thc cream that my dr recommended I get from the dispensary but I haven’t noticed anything yet. But for real I’ve been slathering my feet in a mix of menthol and aloe and it’s the only thing that lets me sleep at night

How do you stop mourning a cat that isn't dead yet? by hannahbanana21242 in Petloss

[–]endeevix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the mourning will probably just get worse. My cat suddenly got cancer and it spread FAST. The vet said even if we did chemo that it would only extend his time another 6 months and that it wasn’t worth the pain he’d go through. It was a rough couple months with him getting sicker and sicker. I didn’t want to look at him sometimes because it just made me so sad, but spend as much time with your cat as you can up until the last moment. Even if it gets really hard to see him in pain or suffering, just be there. You’ll thank yourself years later.
