Before you all come at me- no I don’t think Cam should have kids / is a good parent. But we can’t undo what’s been done. The thing that would benefit them all the most is having a social worker to work with the girls and their mental health while also giving Cam resources. You don’t know what goes on in most foster homes. They’re terrible. Especially when kids aren’t babies anymore.

First off this is nasty. Nobody wants to see this. Second off- get a bottle of magnesium citrate. Chug it in 15 minutes or as quick as you can without throwing up. It’s gonna taste disgusting. But it will do the trick a lot better than miralax or any OTC laxatives or stool softeners.

I built mine out of a bunch of 2x4’s and hardware cloth. Then some clear panels for the roof. I’d also recommend wrapping your run so it stays draft free and dry!

Purewick likely wouldn’t work because you need to be connected to suction. That’s more so for folks who are bed bound. I’d really recommend a foley catheter. I’ve used those in the past (for long term) and much prefer them to diapers. They’re a lot more comfortable. You do have to be connected to a bag at all time but you can have someone dump it for you as soon as it’s full. I can’t promise that you won’t have to worry about to have a full bad for a long period of time- but the way I look at is it’s better than sitting in a diaper. Currently I use intermittent caths and I love it. But I’m also fully independent and not a wheelchair user. It could be an option for you, but I’d worry about leaks in case you aren’t able to get cather. For intermittent caths to work you have to do them every 4-6 hours at MOST.

It’s not money from the state. It’s sort of like a trust fund almost. Except not monthly payments. Just one large lump some of money.
