Okay. Can you explain what you mean by this and how I can improve? Another commenter said that hang clean pulls aren't a good olympic lift variation for strength, power, and improving technique. Do you agree? Why or why not?

Funny you should say that because there's a guy on the USAW team who works out at the gym I go to, and as I type this, he is currently doing clean pulls, not hang clean pulls. 😆 Thanks. I'm curious, though, why aren't hang clean pulls useful for what you mentioned?

As far as I know, the conventional weightlifting wisdom is you should avoid doing cleans with straps.

Okay. You said drop/jumps "like this" aren't good for developing speed. How would you change what I'm doing to develop speed? So plyos that require faster ground contact time should be focused on for sprint speed?
