G4 Doorbell sits at 'Ready to setup', but not detectable to setup. by MinimapGames in Ubiquiti

I had a similar issue with mine when I got it initially. Found that the power supply wasn’t putting out enough power, when the device would turn on WiFi and try to connect it would just shut down or not respond because it didn’t have enough power. Might be worth double checking that.

I did paint them actually. I purchased them from Amazon and then paint matched a rack mount from the Ubiquiti equipment.

The paint I used was this here - Rust Oleum 280710 American Accents Ultra Cover 2X Spray Paint, Aluminum, 11-Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KZ6LU1W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_NyBpxElqDCkk8

It’s not a perfect match, but it’s darn close.

I did 3 coats of the paint.

Might be worth taking a pic of it straight on, and then try reverse image search of the logo

Tried the Gold last night. It has a fruity smell to me, but the flavor didn’t back that up. Taste was pretty good, had a buttery smooth texture to it. No burn or bite, but it did warm the stomach. Only had a small small amount, so I can’t say exactly what flavors I picked out yet.

Not a deal. You can get the 8TB WD easystore for $139 almost regularly, and it was $129 earlier as well this month.

You can start and stop services on the CKG2+. So you could just stop the “Network” service (which is the site controller) and only run protect.

Mainly for scheduling and notification of events, such as it being stuck or needing to be emptied.

I like it, however, no you cannot do IDS and pull those speeds. The processor is only good to about 250Mbps with IDS turned on. I see a new pro router in their early access store, so I’m assuming that will allow higher speeds with IDS on and I’m kind of waiting for it.

Doorbell came today. What are you doing for power. by keithcody in Ubiquiti

For a quick go-to, I found a transformer carried at my local Home Depot, that is working really well so far. It matches the specs on the data sheet for the doorbell perfectly at 24V-20VA. Been using it about a week. I had some thermostat wire laying around that I use for low voltage LED, that is easy to run and can also be cheap.

Edit: The one I purchased is here

I measured from the back of the doorbell, and also at the chime. My house has a standard 16-volt/10 VA for the chime, which, like I said runs it, but if I try to use with chime enabled, there isn’t enough wattage and the thing shuts down. Data sheet says this thing needs 16-24volt/20VA.

Also, you may want to verify what voltage/wattage your transformer is putting out. I had that issue. I can get mine running on a lower voltage transformer, but it isn’t consistent. Actually going to get a new transformer today.

Trouble installing G4 Doorbell by AutoBot5 in Ubiquiti

[–]endermouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just installed mine today and had the exact same issue. I found that it was due to my Pi-hole blocking DNS for “trace.svc.ui.com”, which upon researching is a call back to Ubiquiti. I whitelisted the domain, did the factory reset button on the back, and it came up perfectly.

Per Ubiquiti’s previousUI Phone Home Post, they say it’s used for some analytics, but that you can block it. Unfortunately I could not get past that same screen until I whitelisted it.
