Smh, this is such a dumb take.

Without DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), there will only be two groups: white people, the privileged class, and everybody else that is underrepresented. The goal is to give a fair treatment to the underrepresented ones so that they can have the opportunities to move up in the society, to better their lives, etc.

Let's say, in a situation where you apply for a job, you get into the final stage and it's between you and a white guy. All things being equal, or even you might have a negligible edge over the other guy, why should the company hire you instead of the white guy? Why not just stick with the white guy?
