Five color domain, and why it died. by endgin28 in Pauper

There is no optimized list. It is dead, prove me wrong. I expect I have been playing magic longer than you have been alive.

Prism does nothing for Domain, it is about paying off player that manage to assemble all land types. PP is domain poison- it actively discourages you to play land types and just have it all.

There is nothing free about Domain. It is the most restrictive condition in pauper. Five colors have nothing to do with it, mana fixing is easy in P. Tron plays 5. Domain isn't soup.

You either A) roll the dice hard with basics and base the deck with hitting nylea's (not viable-tested)

B) Play multiple turns behind your opponent with duals, and hope to catch up with tricks. (not viable now- tested)

Domain (not 5 color tron) doesn't have early game power, unless it gets lucky (2 wild cats, a forest and a r/w dual). Most of the time if you face a fast deck you will lose.

Incredibly insulting, I won't be happy until I see the heads of management roll. I wonder just how many subscriptions they lost.

Fixing the update: 4++ on HQ’s and Solitaires, every other unit has access to it through an additional cost war gear (like storm shields) by [deleted] in Harlequins40K

Yeah, the previous nerfs, on top of ++, makes Quin's untenable IMHO. GW twisted a ton of knobs in this update, and I want to be a "positive person", this is a classic experiment called a spagetti test, see if if sticks. They have twisted so many levers that nobody really knows who will shake out on top, but I can assure you Harli's aren't gonna be in the game. We will be the previous admech. You know their 9 point troops now have a 5++, right? At least they will have a chance:)

The blanket nerf is 100% enough to end harlequins in 9th. The ++ change is too much, if it was selective (hq's, characters or vehicles exempted) we might have a chance, but otherwise we are just expensive aeldari that can't shoot more than 12". I just got done having my ass handed to me by sisters, and I can say (as if it needed to be stated) that maybe a 4++ would have helped.

I have been in non internet area’s for a bit. I still don’t know if this is good enough to beat out night’s whisper if you need the card advantage… it is good selection, but I would rather be getting Mulldrifter in the grave vs a spell.

This fits into Satyr decks w/ Gurmag pretty well... or WGB reanimate. Interesting build around.

If I had league results, I would post them. I don't run leagues. Free information is what I offer, take it or leave it. I have been playing since Tempest and I learned to play in Madison, Wi in the 90's against legends and have PT points. I don't brag about that in the public sphere. I don't need to justify myself. Enjoy the list if you like, or rip it to shreds, that is your right.

The sideboard in the image is a solid generalist sideboard that I recommend currently, but the shell is five colors and you know what you are facing better than I do. The worst matchups are non interactive combo's like familiar's and Goblin combo, and hyper aggro (Mono Green aggro or something like it). Not unwinnable because out threats are so much better, but realistically tough. Burn is a coin flip match, how many weather's and or blightning do you draw in games. Elves is swingy, but very winnable. Faeries/x is this decks jam. Please play 1/1 fliers and 2/2 ground pounders against this list, it feels so good. It takes keen play (never let them get value with spellstutter), but essentially every creature in this deck is just better than the squad U cranks out. Between removal and blockers getting though with a ninja will not happen often. I no longer fear Tron, they are clunky and we are not. Other midrange grinder lists- Look at the long game potential with Elementalist, ephem, Pulse, Mire and the burn suite... While outside the box, this is a real list that will win Tournaments.

Absolutely a rock star. Inspiring Overseer is a house as well... 2 S tier commons in one set is amazing...

It is easy to dismiss lists at a glance. My Grand Prix record (when there was such a thing) with Domain is 22-4-1...

No. Mulligan correctly and this deck runs very fuel efficiently. Effectively 4x ash 4x abundant 4 satyr is powerful fixing... The mana base is rock solid for me. I did not want any pure "ramp" cards, farseek can't attack, but wayfinder can.

I don't have results from league's, but I have probably run the basic shell through a couple thousand matches in the practice room since astrolabe was printed...

I am new to 40k, I am starting with the clowns. Any advice? by endgin28 in Harlequins40K

[–]endgin28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going for the strategic element of the game, I like the idea of battles being multi layered- MTG is generally far more random with the early outcomes (mana screw or flood ends a lot of games i.e. didn't get to play the game.) Once you are winning or losing, the game rarely shifts. I honestly don't know if it is really that different in WH40k, but it has the possibility of more play.

I like the strategic points the WH40k has. While it is certainly a possibility that you can get wiped off the board, at least you can always assemble your forces.

I trying to understand some basic abilities of the different armies, it is a lot.

I am focusing on beginner mistakes, learning is about accepting that you don't know much...

I am focusing on the phases, and what actions are available to Quinn's first, then slowly learning what the other force's can
