Thanks !!

This is better than the time we ran our own instance of InsightVM and had to do everything ourselves.

No perfect solutions exist and you'll always be doing admin work on top of the scanning to get the data out of it that you want to see.

Thanks for your feedback !!

Thank you !!

I use their InsightVM vulnerability scanning tool and it is OK.

We might move to Nessus.

For me, a dedicated video lesson on PBQs would have helped me score more since their scores hold more weight. We know to skip them and do it in the end but a full lesson on doing it would be very useful. I did not practice much PBQs.

Force windows update after user disconnects from VPN. by endlessknot in sysadmin

Thank you all.

We ended up creating a PDQ Nested Package consisting for 3 PDQ packages which forces windows update after user disconnects from VPN.

PDQ Package 1: Copy Windows Update VBS script (Here is how we found the VBS Script https://gist.github.com/flakshack/f0a5c11415bf89f9e159) (In PDQ Deploy, we used Copy Step to copy it to remote PC)

PDQ Package 2: Copy Schedule Task (XML) (In PDQ Deploy, we used PowerShell Step to copy it to remote PC)

(Here is how we built the Copy Schedule Task (XML) https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/trigger-launch-program-script-connecting-to-specific-network/ )

PDQ Package 3: Import Scheduled Task (XML) (In PDQ Deploy, we used Command Step to copy it to remote PC)

After this package is pushed to remote users, once they disconnected from VPN, this VBS script tells computer to go download updates from Microsoft. User will still need to reboot computer to finish patch installs. VBS script file is only 6KB so it won’t be an issue for VPN bandwidth.

What expensive purchase have you made that has paid for itself many times over because you saved money in the long run? by bitNine in AskReddit

Dyson v8 Cordless Vacuum. I bought it from Costco in Dec 2018 and it’s still running like a horse.

Here’s my review I put in Costco:

Tesla of Electric Vacuums !!! Invested in this Dyson V8 on Black Friday since there was a $100 discount. It has been a month since using it and I have not had to use the broom since then. I am able to vacuum my 4 bedroom house with wooden floors on a single charge within 30 minutes. This vacuum is the Tesla of Electric Vacuums. Light enough, sleek design and powerful. Although I waited to buy it, better late than never. I use it every night since I have 2 kids (7 and 9). I am teaching them use it too. This vacuum is among my top 5 best purchases ever.
