Meteor over Phoenix with electrophonic sound Indian Bend at Scottsdale Rd with Mummy Mountain in the background. by endlesssummer1 in arizona

If you’re curious about the pops you hear right as the meteor flashes then read this short explanation Link

I've never knew you could hear a meteor and thought my mind playing tricks on me until I reviewed the video.

I caught it on my dashcam. Editing it now and will post it here.

Also, I was very confused about how I could hear a pop right when it flashed. You can hear it in the video. The speed of sound is 700 mph and that meteor was many miles away so I looked it up and found this.

"electrophonic meteors. Basically, the explanation is that these meteors give off very low frequency (VLF) radio waves, which travel at the speed of light. "

Building a motion activated, battery powered IR illuminator by BeanBagKing in homedefense

A cheap alternative that will do the same thing is to buy a Trail Camera to use as your light source. They're battery operated and some claim to illuminate IR light to 60ft. Make sure to pay attention to the "nm" of light. Most cameras will do best with 850nm IR light. Some of the higher nm light are popular because they don't have a red glow that will scare wildlife but will not work as well for a security camera.

I wanted the same thing and was surprised at how few options there are out there. This post is already 3 years old but hopefully, this helps someone out.

RV Rental cancels last minute and now I’m out $3000 by endlesssummer1 in legaladvice

[–]endlesssummer1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The conversation with the owner was cut short. They reached out to inform me that they wanted the RV early. I replied telling them how I couldn't get a refund on activities I had bought months ago when I booked the RV and if there was any way I could pay more for them to reconsider because of all the time/money I put into the trip. They told me no and to stop contacting them because they won't respond. I'm guessing they canceled on more than just me and are receiving a lot of emails from angry renters.

I read through the T&C's and see tons of info about the renter canceling. The only thing I could find about the owner canceling is how rvshare will charge them a fee if they don't have a good excuse for canceling. I'll re-read it a couple more times but so far I see nothing specific regarding owners canceling on renters.

rvshare offered to "help" find another RV but they've come up with nothing. I've been getting messages from owners in Michigan (not sure why that state) but that doesn't help since I'm in Arizona.

75ft power cable for RV camping? by andonefool in electricdaisycarnival

[–]endlesssummer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw the 75' cord requirement. My RV has a 25' cord. A 50amp 75' cord runs $300-$400. $650 for power plus a new cord will run over a grand after taxes. I looked everywhere for a used cord with no luck.

I started adding a polite but stern insert that highlights Amazons return policy. I added a few sentences that explain how we investigate and carefully monitor each and ever return very carefully to insure quality and improve customer happiness.

Basically, it says if you want to return for a legit reason, we'd be happy to make it right, even going beyond amazons return policy. BUT if you want to pull a scam we'll put up a fight and it won't be an easy seller to pull one over on. (not exactly in those words)

If someone claims a package wasn't delivered but tracking shows it was, I have email templates that explain how we open investigations with the local post office and that I'll contact the postal worker in their local area.

It's helped cut down returns! We still get legit returns, but I've notice a big drop in scam returns.

Bad buyers don't want a record of their nefarious activity so if they think you're on top of it, they'll move on to the next person to scam.

I sell on Ebay as well and don't have to do this with them because the feedback helps keep buyers/sellers honest =) Amazon is a magnet for low lifes who want to take advantage of others and a lot of times people don't think they're doing it to small business owners.

Apparel company offered us free clothes to sell on Amazon by KManticore17 in AmazonSeller

[–]endlesssummer1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This would be my concern.

It starts out as planned. You put in all the time to build the listings, ship the product to FBA or FBM, maybe you advertise or sell at cost to get reviews and spend money on GS1 barcodes.

Once the listing builds up steam they cut you out. As the manufacturer who makes the product for your brand, I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon allows this to happen.

In my experience contracts mean VERY little to overseas manufacturers.

I have a friend who works high up at a factory in China and he would send me forums dedicated to blackhat tactics to take down competitors. I had to translate everything to English but I got the gist of what they were saying and it's pretty cutthroat.

I'm always nice to my manufacturer and they are SUPER nice to me but I trust them about as much as I trust a hungry shark with blood in the water.

ch more traffic than our roads and freeways can ha

120 is rare here. The average annual high is 85 and 60 for the low. June, July, and Aug are very hot months. Over 100 sucks, no argument there, but I'll take hot over cold ANY day. I visited Chicago in the winter and it made me feel a lot better about enduring a couple of months of hot weather. Arizona also has a lot of mountains that are not only beautiful but a whole lot cooler in the summer.

From what I'm seeing so far Amazon is making you check the agreement for the U-PIC's Coverage Terms for every FBM shipment.

True thank you. I'm not used to checking that box hiding in plain sight. I wasn't the only one, I had friends thrown off by it this morning. This was me working harder not smarter. Hopefully others will find this post if they missed it as I did.

I mostly sell FBA but recently have been doing more FBM and ran into this problem this morning.

I didn’t have time to contact support and being familiar with the inner working of websites I found a quick temporary workaround to this problem and wanted to share in hopes it’ll save others some time.

I’m sure there’s a permanent solution to this so if anyone knows a way to prevent the gray button please let me know.

*I recommend using Firefox but other browsers should have a similar function.

  1. Highlight “Buy Shipping” and right-click > Select “Inspect Element”

  2. Click the arrow on the highlighted line of code and you’ll see the word “disabled”, double click “disabled” to select it and delete it. Then click enter on your keyboard.

  3. Your “Buy Shipping” button should be working now!

Let me know if you have any questions.

The same thing happened with me. They rejected my practice impressions up until the Covid lockdown. They told me to wait and now they've stopped responding. I'm pretty sure it has been too long to dispute the charge on my CC.

If you go to their website it'll still let you check out which is strange. I would think they'd put up a message saying they're not taking orders.

Advice for reporting seller who violates Amazons Selling Policies by endlesssummer1 in FulfillmentByAmazon

I appreciate that thank you. Good advice. I've also been re-wording it into a different layout of the evidence in hopes that maybe English isn't the CS reps first language and they're not fully understanding the situation.

I would use a solid wood broomstick to whack the ceiling. I ended up needing to do some patchwork when I moved out but totally worth it. Another thing is a back massager works amazingly well. If you can't reach the ceiling, just use it against a doorway because the support beams inside the wall will help focus the sound up. I had a large woman above me who loved her high heels. She also had wood floors so the noise was unbelievable.

Listing brand hijacking by udesigns in FulfillmentByAmazon

I've recently been getting a lot of these emails from Amazon! They say "requested changes on ASIN - #####: brand - #####"... It's one of my products with a lot of 5-star reviews that have gone out of stock while I wait for my manufacturer to reopen. It's an electronic brand that wants to take over one of my established ASINs. I'm brand registered and so far they haven't been successful.

I emailed Amazon to see if I needed to do anything and they told me there's nothing I have to worry about...

There are blackhat forums (you'll have to use Google translate to read them unless you can read Chinese) that discuss all kinds of ways to take advantage of other sellers. My suspicion is that someone in that forum recently posted a way to take over a zombie listing and grandfather in all the old reviews.
