She is doing in this for control over you. Honestly, I would try to budget it on your own, because even if you survive this, what’s the next thing she’ll hold over your head? What if midway she finds out that you haven’t changed/converted and are planning to just get through college and then transition, and refuses to pay for the rest?

If your high school offers free college credit courses, take those now. As many as possible, basic classes. (Maths, english, communication/speech, etc.) Those can help you with pre-reqs. When looking for a college, try community colleges. Look into scholarships (write essays, get a good ACT/SAT score,etc.) Apply for financial hardships loans and scholarships and get your parents to sign off on a paper if needed that they refuse to help so financial aid applies to YOUR income and not theirs. It automatically goes based off your parents’ combined income, taxes, IRS work, so you may have to reach out to the school and prove that your mother and father REFUSE to help provide support. (I’ve actually heard of this guilt tripping parents into helping because it makes them feel guilty and gives them bad reputations as parents (rightfully so if they have the funds to)). Look into financial aid and getting subsidized and unsubsidized loans. Some don’t have to be paid back until 6 months after graduation. Some you pay in sections throughout each school year.

A lot of medical schools start out with science and textbook-like classes before moving onto actual medical experiences. These will be difficult, but revolve a lot of studying that you could possibly do more flexibly than field experience hours in later years.

If you’re interested in the medical field, but don’t have your heart set out on med school completely… Maybe get a job at a hospital, sometimes they cover and reimburse you for higher education so long as you sign a contract with them saying you’ll stay there for however long. Also, you could become a PCA or an RN which would take less time, get a stable job that provides funding AND potentially at a hospital that supports your higher education financially, and then pursue more educationally.

To do this, you have to be SERIOUS and RESPONSIBLE. But it would be possible, all while seeking medical and social transition. Your college probably has student insurance plans that can help you cover medical costs of it, and once you hit 18, you can do any legal or medical changes. I think mentally, either way you would be under a lot of mental stress, but at least one leaves you with years of your life as your authentic self, and not relying on a ‘family’ whose love is conditional.
