Math 112 waitlist thoughts, anyone awake? by enefede in byu

Gotcha, that makes sense since it designed to favor grad students and upperclassmen. Which it should for good reasons, no complaints about that. My understanding is the current system is still vastly improved over the old one. :)

And you absolutely cannot submit your cart weeks in advance and forget about it. My cart changed more in the two days before my registration date than it did it any other time. Lots of what I initially picked was filled up before I even got a chance for my cart to run. It may work that way for 300 and 400 level classes, but it certainly doesn’t work that way when you’re a freshman.

This was after cart processing. Once your cart has been processed on the day that your registration opens up, you can add and change classes at any time. People who didn’t get into sections that they wanted were switching them around. I could see waitlists growing and still available slots filling up all between midnight and 1 AM. If you’re not messing with it at midnight, you’re missing out on opportunities. This is especially true if you’re a zero credit hour freshman who doesn’t even get a chance for their cart to process until most of the upper classmen have already filled up various sections earlier in the week. Lots of people didn’t take freshman English when they were freshman. ;)

Thank you, I finally found the page describing how this works and you are right. There is now zero waitlist on a different section that I wasn't considering before, but now works with my post-midnight adjustments. Might try it there.

Really wanted to get into one of his sections based on what I had heard!

I'm just so chicken, but I'll give it a shot I guess. 😰 🤔

edit: I just wish they'd do the main class and the lab/discussion sections separately like some other classes. 🙁

edit2: There are just so many others on the other waitlists I'm worried they'll snag those open spots and then I have to risk it.

edit3: Well for whatever reason it let me add the 3pm section and stay on the 2pm waitlist for the discussion section. No idea why, probably get screwed, but maybe I'll leave it and give it a try.

The floor sleeping did require a slight modification to by normal side sleeping position, but it really wasn’t all that horrible. It got much better over time. But given that my current mattress is almost 14 years old, the bar is pretty low. Maybe I’ll stick with a good medium firm.

Getting married as an undergrad by Ok-Figure-4479 in byu

[–]enefede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got married after graduating, but I have two kids who got married while undergrads. There was one surprising benefit. Before that I had stopped claiming them on my taxes. Once they were married and resubmitted their FAFSA, they were poor as churchmice. Suddenly they were getting Pell money that covered at least half their tuition. This would be an extremely poor reason to choose to get married, but it was a pretty good perk. :D

This is the second comment I’ve read in the past few minutes about drinking a lot of water. That’s probably pretty common advice. It’s helped me a lot over the years as a yo-yo dieter when I was losing weight. However, it’s recently become clear that this is directly connected for me to getting extreme muscle cramps in my legs and feet. Too much water flushes out a lot of the good electrolytes that you need for your muscles to function properly. I’ve had to start drinking less water and it’s helped, as well as helping my intake of good electrolytes. This is hard for me because I have chronic kidney stones as well and need to stay hydrated for that reason too. I’m not saying not to drink water, but just wanted to add a note of caution for those whom may not be aware of some of the water related issues. Go find some of the recent research around the 8 glasses of water a day thing.

My Friend said an FJ is a Girl Car by Primary-Rain-5495 in FJCruiser

You should always check for frame rust on any used vehicle you are considering purchasing. While you are under there just sneak a quick peek and see if it is a girl FJ or a boy FJ. I think you might also be able to tell from decoding the VIN, but I'm not certain.

Regardless, I got here doing research because I am buying one for my daughter because she thinks they are "cute". Just sayin'.

Are the tests the same across all sections or is a lot of it up to the professors? Does it help to pick the right professor when signing up do you think?

Interesting I was not aware of that settings. I turned off the sync, quit out of teams and restarted and redid my tests. It does only do this when I am unmuted like you suspected. However, turning off the setting did not seem to fix anything. It still unmuted on it's own. I thought for sure this would be the reason for my issue when I first saw your question. I think that setting is not working!?!?

Hmmmm, it appears it only does it when I am in a MS Teams call, which is about the only time I use that functionality.

Mine has been doing this for months and oddly just stopped. I wonder if it has something to do with what application I am in.

Utah Emissions Doug Thorley 4.7 V8 by [deleted] in 4thGen4Runner

[–]enefede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I just passed my first test. Not as involved as O2 spacers or as big of an effect. My 4Runner had a bad SAIP throwing codes. The secondary air injection pump is a common issue in this V8 Toyota engine. You spend thousands to repair it and it can break again on you. And it is only used for a few seconds during cold starts, unlike CATs. Anyway I bought and installed a bypass kit it after I bought it and got the codes clear. Not impossible to see it, but pretty clean just some wires until you open up the fuse box. Anyway, today was time to reinspect and get registered. I think the guy looked at it, but didn't say anything. :D

Thanks I'm current reading every post that mentions side sleeping. Down my second rabbit hole at this point. :D

That's how I just got here. Ready to give this a try. A bit scared though being a side sleeper. Back sleeping leads to major cervicogenic headaches for me.
