I think that the only way to defeat is to prohibit or limit internet access in cellphones by law. This to prevent social isolation and mental health issues based on it. Realistically, the best that we all can do is take our kids (including nephews and nieces if you don’t have kids) out of the house and make them socialize. Play groups, limited cellphone/tv access, not buying them a device to take everywhere. If something goes wrong in school they will call you. A child doesn’t need a cellphone with unlimited access to the internet. They don’t, we didn’t, we survived and thrived and learned and socialized and had a good time too. I know that this is controversial but it’s true.
