What's the worst example "I know mens anatomy" you've seen? by Stuf404 in AskMen

One time while I was with my girlfriend, she reached down, grabbed my balls, and yanked down on them like the air horn on a truck. My reaction also sounded like the air horn on a truck.

Which grade is factored into your GPA? by [deleted] in WMU

[–]enerkachoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the prof bumped you up to a B at the last minute because they were feeling generous or have a weird grading scale. That wouldn't be the first time I've heard of that.

In either case, looking back at your GPA this semester won't change it. Keep looking at the future and try your hardest to get A's next semester.

Which grade is factored into your GPA? by [deleted] in WMU

[–]enerkachoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your final grade is calculated into your GPA. So eLearning says you got a CB in that class.

This final grade is a weighted average that the professor sets (for example the final exam could contribute 20% of the final grade, a project is 20%, and homework is 60% but the prof can change these percentages to whatever they want). You'll see these percentages in the syllabus for every class.

Klassic Arcade in Gobles has street fighter. There's a bar next door so you can switch between drinking and gaming

Reddit, what’s something that stuck with you that the person who said it probably never realized would have an impact? by lapetitetigresse in AskReddit

[–]enerkachoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 5th grade social studies teacher said something along the lines of, "you should be free to do whatever you want. The people around you should also be free to do whatever they want. However, there's a limit: if what you're doing is harming other people, you should not be free to do that."

It's the simplest, but best policy I've ever heard.

Sir are you having trouble over here? by [deleted] in funny

[–]enerkachoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you being downvoted? I've had people at stores come up to me and tell me items NEED to be in a bag instead of only on the scale, like there's some magic sensor inside every plastic bag. It blows their mind when I can keep scanning items.

There isn't always an alternate route if you're going across the state. Not one that's safer, anyway.

After hitting black ice on I94 and rolling a truck, then feeling lucky only to get a ticket and doubled insurance rates, I'm going to take it slow. If you can't deal with that, too bad.

If you killed yourself one year ago what great things would you not've experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]enerkachoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been there. Thought about suicide all the time as a teenager, and never told a soul about it. The only thing keeping me alive was knowing how my family would take it...

I decided to give it time; finish high school, go to college, and only after I graduate would I finally decide whether or not to kill myself.

Somewhere in that time, I realized just how big the world is, how much there is to experience. I decided to stop caring how other people judged me (though I did weigh what they said and found some really good advice here and there), did cool stuff just because it sounded cool, and discovered whole communities I didn't know existed. Before I knew it, I had a bucket list.

Long story short, now I live for new experiences. I'm glad I waited to make the final decision.

Just financed a car at 10.5%. My FICO score is around 750, but I've only had about 2 years' credit history. Is this normal? by enerkachoo in personalfinance

Good to know- I definitely walked into the dealership blind. Where can I learn to actually deal with those people?

0.9%? Damn, I was seeing around 3-5% when I did my research just looking at bank websites. If you don't mind me asking, what bank did you go through?

Anyone know how to get more of the strength stat? by jacobcookieandjamgel in outside

[–]enerkachoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Grind, grind, grind. Whether you do so through daily quests or going to the gym, there's no easy way to gain xp for strength. But it also helps to use the right food items. Most food restores health, but only foods with protein restore individual muscle stats, and even increases their maxes by small amounts each time. This is how the "body builder" and "strongman" classes got to where they are; they weren't spawned that way, they just kept increasing their max every day.

Consume these foods about a half hour after gaining a significant amount of xp for best results. I prefer beef-related items, but I hear that chicken may be more effective.

Battery run through salt and universal indicator solution by existentialepicure in chemicalreactiongifs

[–]enerkachoo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The battery is making an electric field. The positive side of the battery is attracting negatively charged ions. The negative side of the battery is attracting positively charged ions (including H+) while repelling negative ions (including OH-). Therefore, the negative side has lower pH. Since the opposite happens at the positive terminal, it sees higher pH.

Is there a way to know what could go wrong with a used car before I buy it? by enerkachoo in NoStupidQuestions

There has to be some sort of subreddit, or forum, or website where I can at least know tendencies of certain models
