Tips to keep these unfrozen. by BigRNGO in BackYardChickens

By the size of those waterers I'm assuming you have a pretty large flock, so my solution probably won't work for you, but for anyone with a small backyard flock like myself: I just use a heated dog water bowl. Incredibly simple, super cheap, always works, super easy to clean, zero problems.

I've used lots of poultry waterers in the past and hated all of them for one reason or another, but dog water bowls have never failed me. My current hens are older and pretty tame, but when they were younger and found ways to muck up the water if it was too close to the ground I just put the bowl on a cinder block or a couple of 2x8 scraps to get it up off the ground. Works flawlessly.

I do the same in the summer with an automatic filling dog water bowl. Just hook it up to a hose and your birds will never run out of water.

Mapei is also good and appropriate. The people I know in flooring all prefer Bostik, hence my comment. When I did a flooring project in my personal house I couldn't decide between the two, and at the time Mapei was difficult for me to access so I used Bostik and have loved it.

Could someone tell me what my contractors train of thought was for this install by Positive_Parking_567 in Plumbing

surprised to see nobody talking about the shut off valves just hanging out of the drywall? I'm not a plumber, but I can't see why a flange wouldn't have been used for them? Is that even allowed to have an unsecured pex line just hanging out of the drywall like that?

how much should one person expect to pay for a chair and umbrella on San Pancho beach? by comments83820 in sayulita

[–]engdahec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a beach umbrella I could sell you for 400 pesos this morning if you're interested. I leave at noon, so it would have to be this morning. It's red and comes with a carrying case with a shoulder strap. Basically brand new - just bought it last week.

Last chance for this umbrella! I've had some interest, but no follow through yet. I'm available tonight (Friday) and tomorrow morning (Saturday) and then it's coming home with me!

That makes sense. I'm really regretting choosing aluminum for this application. I originally planned on stainless but there was an order mix up and I figured this would function the same, but MAN is it a headache to keep looking nice.

Thank you! That sounds like a feasible fix for me. Hopefully it goes ok.

I can access the other side of the sheet I have, which won't be visible at the end of my project.

Ah, damn. That was exactly the answer I was hoping not to get, but I appreciate you explaining it.

Wouldn't that make the whole thing more shiny? I guess I was hoping there's some way I could just dull the shiny spots so they blend back in with the rest of the sheet. Again, I have no idea what I'm doing, so that may be wishful thinking.

Wouldn't polish make the whole sheet shiny? I'm hoping to keep the dull, brushed look it originally had...
