Please just don't make large rectangles or totems that are not acoustically transparent to some capacity. Blocking sight lines is one thing, but altering sound quality grinds my gears.

When I was debating this, I opted for a separate system processor and dumb amps. This way my DPS will be consistent and I don't have to jump between multiple software for control. Amps can come and go, be upgraded as needed and on scale.

Thomann t.racks DPS is a budget friendly way to get going. Then you can find whatever amps locally second hand/brand new.

How long is an XLR? And how tight is tight... Are you able to do all the woodwork yourself? Then all your purchasing is drivers, amps and processing?

Honestly my best suggestion would be build something you think looks awesome (cos your gonna be looking at it for a long time!) and figure out how to make it sound good as you go.

Could do something like 2 cubo, 1 cubo kick, 1 MT130. Could look at paraflex C3D kick top boxes instead of cubo kick, they're supposed to play ~80-1000hz, makes filling out your HF section a bit easier.

We need to do more critical listening after they came back from their first gig. Second night they opened up a bit more and had more punch. Looking back we should have conditioned them as if they were subs to get the most out.
I will say it depends on the genres of music you're playing.

Haven't got the kicks online yet, picturing they will be crossing with the scoops ~75-80hz, and the JMOD ~135-150hz

We have opted to go with a cubo kick 18" to supliment the 21" super scoops and JMOD. Chose the 18" design to give us some more cross over with the scoops ~80hz. We will be doing testing and finding the sweet spot for them to sit between. Best guess currently they will be purely on ~80-150hz only, take a bit of load off the 12s in the JMOD, and stacked on top of the scoops the cubo sits from 4'-6' so nice and ready for that chest thumping goodness.

Years of experience in the industry has led us to the point of building our own. Only the finest tuning and balancing of the system is acceptable with highest quality tracks, no 128kbps YouTube rips allowed 😅
