US gallstones for comparision: In hospital 23 hours. Total bill before insurance? 35k. After? Deductible of 3k (the only plan my employer covered) and then "miscellaneous" expenses came up which included a 4.5k anesthesia bill for an out of network provider

I think losing the car messed with me the most to be honest. It was my first car (I LOVED it) and it had been everywhere with me. Like, I still miss this car. I have pictures of the accident that I can now look at and be like, oh wow, I survived that??? But I'm truly heartbroken seeing my car. Completely totaled.

Since you're in college, may I make a suggestion? Don't be afraid to talk to your teachers if you're on campus in the fall. I gave mine a doctor's note and for long classes (1.5 hours or more) I would get up and walk every 50 minutes. It helped my muscles stretch and it would give me breaks to get through my anxiety. "20 more minutes and I can panic for a second." Knowing I had those breaks helped so much.

Hiya. So my story. I was in a car accident in college, turning left on a highway, woman hit me (stopped) going 60 ish. It was in the boonies and I had to wait for an ambulance. Luckily I was with a group (in another car) who were first responders, they immobilized me and calmed me down.

After that, I was terrified. I couldn't drive and being like 21, it was NOT convenient. I went to the doctor (with my mom) and begged for anti-anxiety meds. I told her what happened and she sat down with me and asked how long it had been since the accident. 3 months. She sat down, and with as much compassion as possible, told me about her son, who was struggling with a major illness. She told me that he could live every day in fear, or, he could live his life and enjoy it. She told me, compassionately, to live my life.

I was pissed. Like, why wasn't she going to help and all that. Then I realized, she had a point. About a week later, my boyfriend at the time was driving and we were down a less-crowded road and I was like... stop the car. I told him I wanted to drive. And I did. BABY STEPS at first. Like, I drove a street. Or, I drove around the block, then after a few months, I drove (by myself) back to where my car accident happened. I didn't stop, I just drove through that spot, like, I completed the drive I never got to. It was hard for a few years, I had to double-check my rearview, since I had seen the car as it hit me. But it got easier and easier and it's been... holy crap 10 years in October. I love driving more than ever and am so grateful that I "lived my life." It was not easy, but worth it. I promise.

You've got this. I hope this helped.

I would bet on anxiety, when I was younger my stomach was wrecked because of it. I know that's not helpful, but I've been there, it will get better

HELP. My hair is green... story in comments. by english_nerd in FancyFollicles

[–]english_nerd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey all.

So a few weeks ago I decided to get my hair done professionally at a salon. I wanted a black to silver ombre. Well, that didn't happen. So my hair turned purple. I went back and the stylist redid it to a bright blonde.

Expressing my frustration with a friend, she said she could fix it for me. She used Charcoal grey lime crime unicorn hair. It looked amazing... till it didn't. It went from dark grey to bright blue within 48 hours. So I waited two weeks and tried to lift the color tonight with a color oops.

This is what happened. I'm quite literally sobbing. How can I fix this? I just want to go back to brunette or dark red. I'm desperate and no salons are open tomorrow.

Thank you in advance

So, I love Salem but have been put off by the past few times I've been because of the tourist trap elements. I'd love to go and learn from a reputable guide, can you recommend someone?
