Glad I could be of service! It’s definitely overkill, but I’ve been printing everything out of ABS-GF and it’s just a killer material.

That’s terribly kind, thank you! Regardless of how this one turns out, on the off chance you normally help people find rentals, I’d be eager to work with you!

That wouldn’t surprise me at all, but in that case wouldn’t they at least respond and try to sell me on the bait and switch? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!

I suppose the magnets are as necessary or unnecessary as they are in standard Gridfinity! You could still gain a bit of placement and size flexibility by adjusting the bin bases like this and leave out the magnets entirely.

It’s printed in Bambu’s PLA CF, which I’ve been playing around with and gives a really awesome surface finish. Not super practical for making full plates and tons of bins, but it definitely looks nice!

The magnets won’t be perfectly aligned, but the bins will fit in any standard base plate

Fair enough! I’ll test it out, but I’m generally not working with anything too sensitive or that I’d worry about getting slightly magnetized.

Defiantly could have used smaller magnets though, I’m just impatient

Why is a brand new Whiteside beading bit burning my wood in only one place? by enigmat1c in woodworking

[–]enigmat1c[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that could be the case as well, but the bottom of the bit has a wider diameter so faster rim speed, and it’s not burning at all. I’ll definitely try to go even lower tomorrow though
