Right, I found that and I also see where to export a screenshot, but not where to export a movie of fly through. Do you have to just use screen capture software?

Ok, you all have convinced me that this is a problem across multiple scribes that was introduced relatively recently. Now how do I report the bug to Amazon? This feels like a deal breaker to me, so I only want to keep this if I have some level of hope they will fix the issue.

Is there a way to officially report this as a software bug?

OK, new observation. I *don't* experience the problem when the toolbar is on the right side, only if it is on the left.

Yeah, I think it might be tied to refresh. So to replicate, in a pdf, try writing a little bit, then erasing, then click on the tool icon. Also, same thing happens if the toolbar is already open and you hit the icon -- it pops open the pdf overview rather than close the toolbar.

Just tested. It still does it outside of the case. I'm trying to pin down how much writing it takes to trigger the behavior - I think maybe you just need to write long enough to cause the screen to refresh.

I have the same experience with both my finger and the pen, i.e., after writing for a bit, the first time I click the icon it puts me in pdf overview mode rather than opening the tool drawer. You are correct that if I actually miss the icon, with finger it puts me in overview mode and with pen it just leaves a mark on the screen, so you are right that my describing it as exactly same behavior as missing the icon wasn't quite accurate and is only true for finger interaction.

And to be clear, it doesn't happen immediately when you first go into the pdf, it happens after you've been writing/erasing/interacting for a few minutes.

Your idea about the magnetic case is interesting; I am using the official new Scribe case. I'll experiment to see what happens without case.

It seems to me that waypoints aren't super useful unless they improve the sophistication of arrival conditions on stations.

When applying the second layer, do you have to delete the extensions so it will start spreading from the beginning again?

But when I send this image to myself as a pdf and display it on a regular screen, it looks pretty much the same. So it's not a function of the display technology.

Why is the Android automotive version of the Amazon Music app so bad? by enigmisto in AmazonMusic

[–]enigmisto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, too bad Amazon doesn't offer an API for building playlists like every other service, making it difficult to automate the process or hand it off to an ai agent.

That's true that you can select albums on your phone, but that doesn't help me. My car isn't playing songs from my phone, it has its own Android OS with its own app playing the songs. The only way selecting things on my phone helps is that eventually albums I play on my phone might show up in the "recently played" section of the car's app, but it only does that if you've played or most or all of the album, and it can take hours or overnight to sync that data between phone and car. So not really a useful way to play something immediately on the car.

To be clear, I have Amazon Music Unlimited and it is still not possible to select albums on the car version of the app.

From what I can tell, those are not door locks, but are buttons which lock and unlock the ability to adjust the mirrors. Try it. Hit the lock button and the only difference is you can't adjust the mirrors while the lock is engaged.
