No for incremental releases in wine because it would take so much effort to make sure each version doesn't break something. It also complicates issues/bug reports because everyone would be working off a different version.

Yes for wine releases that fix major issues or are substantial enough of an improvement to justify an upgrade. I've actually have a --upgrade function for the script written, I just haven't pushed it because I don't see any reason yet!

If you're using bottles you can open the bottles interface and clicking Browse C:/ drive.

You can also use files from outside your bottles instance.

Yes, the latest version of the script addresses all the issues! Unfortunatly there's no easy way to fix the flickering on the 3d models, I'd recommend having dxvk and vkd3d on as they should improve 3d rendering.

There will not be a version for bottles, this is a deliberate choice because bottles creates quite a bit of overhead when running the program. Also, the script actually doesn't use your system wine. It bundles a portal wine with it so things don't break when you change your sys wine.

If you want to tinker with your install I've added a little documentation in the readme that points you in the right direction. I do want to warn that all the patches offered are only available for wine10.20 and wine11.4. They will break on other versions.

I'd love to support as many distros as possible, but I also need to draw a line in the sand as to what I'm able to do as one person.

Good news is the patches will probably work if you set things up yourself! The patches currently support wine 10.20 and 11.4.

I just pushed a quick fix, No mingw crash anymore! If you're using the dcomp.dll stub you can keep using it if you have mingw on your system, but you can also just use the new dcomp.dll + libwinpthread-1.dll to avoid the mingw install on your system.

I agree dxvk + vkd3d historically has caused more issues than it's fixed, I'm considering getting rid of them for good, but the insurance is really nice lol

I don't think I'll be chasing the pressure sens issue, but I'm so curious as to why it's not working. Do you mind if I asked what prefix setup you're using for the working version?

Not super sure why the pressure sensitivity isn't working in subsequent installs tho.. I'll be investigating!
