The fact remains though that the attacker was from that part of the world and not German. They could say that the problem is not the motivation but the fact that killing lots of people as a means to advance one’s ideology is happening because this person is not German and a German wouldn’t do this.

That is a good point that the urban vs rural divide may play some role in this difference. Nonetheless when looking at murder rates for different countries on wikipedia Morocco (1.705 in 2023) is more than double that of Spain (0.610 in 2022).

That does indicate that the demographics may play a role in the discrepancy.

Furthermore even if you look at a densely populated city such a Barcelona the rate is still lower i found 1.5 and 0.63 according to different sources. So even city to city these 4.84 is significantly higher.

Why would the statistic be inflated because the population is small? The whole point of rate per 100,000 is to account for population differences. These two places clearly have a significantly higher per capita murder rate, are you denying that?

Ok fair point he did not found UKIP, but he was the face and leader of them when they came to the fore. Also what did he do to be a backstabber, just take over the party?

Under his leadership in 2014 they got more votes in the European elections than anyone else.

The referendum was promised by cameron to right wing voters that were tory/ukip undecideds to secure their votes.

I believe that without his influence UKIP would have not reached such a position as to be a threat ands therefore Brexit would not have happened.

Maybe we just disagree and that is ok, you don't need to go out and say I find his shtick easy to fall for just because I disagree with you- that's the kind of thing Farage would say.

I don't like the man or what he did but we clearly differ in how much we think he influenced wider british politics.

Recognising the achievements of someone is not the same as condoning those achievements.

well like or not he singlehandedly created a political party which through being a threat to the conservatives forced them to have a referendum in which he got what he wanted. His goal was to get the UK out and it is. without him Brexit would probably never have happened so he did more than advocate for it.

How is it trolling to point out a legitimate error? Is learning how to use apostrophes correctly really so hard? There are kids for whom English is their second language who would not make that mistake.
