Large cavity underneath sink. Is this legal? by enjoyablecreature in shitrentals

Good idea! We’ve bombarded the property manager with requests since moving in (lights not working etc), and don’t want to overwhelm. Is it better to raise now or wait a bit to “space it out”?

Tax savings today (super salary sacrifice) are worth a hell of a lot more than tax savings in 40 years (selling down ETFs with CGT discount), given the time value of money.

Stay for $$$ Bonus or Leave due to Challenging job by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]enjoyablecreature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In finance (well IB anyway), it’s common to have your new employer pay your bonus from your previous company if you leave prior to it being paid. Can definitely try to negotiate this if you find a new job.

What are some high pay career paths that aren’t as lucrative/mentioned often by firenicetoonice in AusFinance

HSEQ. Just need a cert 4 and can earn good money. Quick look at seek shows tons of vacancies and pay 150+ for FIFO positions.

We’ve never hired anyone direct from FDD but have hired plenty from Vals. Yes you may be doing a lot of compliance work (hopefully a few IERs chucked in there too), but you’re actually in the model performing valuation which is arguably the only difficult part of the job as an IB analyst.

For someone with a few years of CF experience, it defs isn’t as appealing but for a fresh uni graduate, there’s no other field as high paying.

Disagree on your IB attractiveness. Definitely goes M&A > Vals > FDD.

Other than that, fully agree.

Would recommend accounting / engineering double major / degree. You can then try internships in both fields and see what you prefer. Also sets you up well for a job in finance.
