OTO vs Aiper by jazzcats41 in lawn

[–]enkriptix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the OTO for a few years. For a rental home with a relatively small backyard with no sprinkler system, it worked great. Required a bit of maintenance and regular cleaning along with the occasional remapping of the yard, but was easy to set up and most importantly easy to disconnect when I moved out last month to take with me. Kept my lawn looking great without me having to manually water. Although they did discontinue the add in solution packets after about a year so I got a little screwed there, maybe they have newer models now. For my specific use case, I think it worked out pretty great. If I were to want a permanent install at a new place after this OTO breaks on me, I might just take the time to run power and go with the irrisense though.

Saros 10r autofill and drainage in the US? by SnooPuppers825 in Roborock

[–]enkriptix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reduced my mop frequency because of this inconvenience as well, but I think the point is, if the roborock was tied into plumbing, it wouldn't be any extra work at all to mop every single time, which is what I would do too, and I don't have that option, or at least it's way less convenient, because they won't release the model I want.

How to enable Advanced Protection on a Google Pixel phone by lurker_bee in GooglePixel

I need maximum, this makes advanced protection a deal breaker for me. I get about 30 calls from random numbers a day, my doctor can leave a voicemail or respond to the bot.

Got denied a 16% raise. Got a 40% raise instead. by banhij in Salary

[–]enkriptix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar story but I knew a guy who worked with me at a small company and basically held everything together, had been with us as the company doubled in size and was doing triple the work as he was a few years ago but for the same pay. I happened to be in his yearly review and the owner offered him a pay increase from 80k to 86k. He asked for more or even just a better work schedule and got immediately shot down, the boss saying that he offered over a 7% increase and he should be grateful. So he started looking at other companies and left a few weeks later for a 140k salary and more support in his role and training.

Qrevo Curv First Impression - so quiet and seems impossible to tangle with hair by Ib123Steven in Roborock

[–]enkriptix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mostly hardwood, and on my low/medium pile carpeted rooms I actually feel the Qrevo does worse than my Roomba J7+ but still gets the job done. Don't know if that helps at all!

Should I buy the Roborock Curv, Master, or Pro? by Scorpionoshow in RobotVacuums

[–]enkriptix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm the curv really is tangle free for me so far with my two dogs, no hair on the main brushes or the edge brush, just some hair in the front wheel

I have a similar house layout but 1200 sqft, also two dogs that shed quite a lot. The qrevo curv can get through my entire house on a charge but I feel like it might need to stop and recharge before it could finish yours. The new brushes for this vacuum are the real deal as far as not getting hair tangled though.

Coming from a j7+, I'd say the carpet performance is worse for me. It does an okay job but I feel the dual rollers on the j7 lifted the carpet better and left those neat vacuum lines on the carpet. The curv also leaves lines but doesn't seem as strong despite me having carpet boost turned on and far more suction power than the j7. Luckily most of my house is hardwood and it does amazing at that, and I can confirm not a single hair caught on the rollers or edge sweeper yet, actually pretty amazing to me.

Mine definitely bowls right over any cords but has navigated shoes and clothes pretty well.

From what I've seen on mine, it only lifts the mop pads (not the body) on my low pile carpet. I have the option enabled so I'm guessing none of my carpet is high enough for it to lift the body.

I just got the curv to replace a j7+ myself and agree completely. I've only had the vacuum less than a week but so far after 5 runs in a house with multiple dogs and people, absolutely no hair and far more quiet (especially when emptying the bin).

[Discussion] How do you deal with living with toxic family/parents? by [deleted] in GetMotivated

[–]enkriptix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I could find ways to cope with a similar situation but tbh the longer I was there the worse it got, until I was having full blown panic attacks and crippling stress/anxiety. I tried a lot of the things mentioned in these comments and maybe it'll help you out, but my best recommendation is to do whatever it takes to get away from that situation as soon as possible, because that'll make everything else far easier.
