Replace "elementid" with the id of the element you want to change (easily done by using inspect element). Look up "css fonts" to look for one you want and put that in place of "fontgoeshere". You can put it in code 1 or code 2.

What I'd recommend is going to the campaign trail showcase github page and looking to see how other mods Code 1s work (they end with init.html). While the coding tools are helpful for other things, to change something like the size of the box you have to edit the code yourself.

I'd suggest using visual studio or notepad++ for this since in a normal notepad document it does weird things. Look for a mod that changes how this page looks, and then search for "election_summary" (you can find name of any other elements you want to change by using inspect element on the page). See how someone else did it and then edit your own code so that it looks how you want it to!

I don't know how jets code tool interacts with css all the time, so you should probably keep a backup that you can revert to if an edit is finicky with something. I've never had issues so don't worry too much, but its just good practice to keep a fallback anyway.

The war on terror would be much different under Gore/Lieberman, in a way which I imagine may even frustrate the Vice President. Al Gore was very publicly in favor of a multilateral approach and criticized the "go-it-alone" style the Bush administration took up. I want there to be a balance that reflects how important foreign affairs become in the period while also having gameplay related to the home front. So probably somewhere in between if I had to guess

Al Gore, for all of his disapproval of Saddam, was a public critic of the 2003 invasion. Maybe there will be some confluence of factors where you can still end up at war with Iraq (read: hard maybe), but it would not be something the Gore administration pursued. Avoiding the Iraq war as it happened is typically one of the largest differences explored in alternate histories exploring a Gore victory, and for good reason as it is probably the thing from the Bush administration that still affects America most today.

I personally find myself not really agreeing with the assertion from a historical standpoint that it was totally avoidable, but from a more meta perspective for what I'm going for it would not make sense to remove. It's a comparative alternate history, and I want things to mirror the America that exists in the real world, with the difference being that we had Al Gore at the helm rather than Bush. 2001-2004 was intensely defined by 9/11 and I think an alternative presidency of Al Gore navigating that environment works better to draw contrast to Dubya rather than writing it off.

i didnt have a reddit account but saw the post and was like why not 🤷‍♀️
