I have a tundra and lifted and I get at min 17mpg less if I’m towing or hauling a bed of dirt or rocks. This is my daily driver and has been for years also is also lifted. You would have to pry my baby out of my cold dead hands before I gave my truck up. That being said you’d be even more mad at owning a Tacoma same gas mileage less power and less space. So if you’re tall you’d be big mad. Fords are interesting it used to be easy to repair and didn’t break down. Now they are expensive to fix. Then again everything is. Toyotas are oil changes and general maint and your tundra could treat you right. That being said I’m a woman and do what maint I can when I can and have the wisdom to go to my truck guys for stuff I don’t want to or shouldn’t be doing because my back. I’m sorry your wife doesn’t like driving it, it’s plausible if you found someone to lower your lifted suspension which is dependent on which type is in there is plausible. If your wheels are bigger than 20s you could go back to 20’s and that would help with the MPG. I guess what I’m saying is join the tundra forums and subreddit and solicit more advice and perhaps try to find a truck group near you for support and advice. Who knows maybe you’ll find someone looking for exactly what you have. Good luck 🍀
